  1. Sometimes it gives you a different perspective on that very reality you speak of TC, one that makes you understand it much more clearly than you did before.. Surely as a hallucinogenic any perspective it would give you would be suspect to say the least? TC Sounds really corny, but a trip is a voyage of self discovery if done right. When most young folk start taking mushrooms, they do so because they've heard stories about seeing dragons and being chased up the stairs by giant mars bars, but if you have the right sort of mind, ie you're an intelligent person with a good constitut
  2. I think drinking heavily or doing coke has far more to do with escaping reality.......they can turn you into someone else, where as psychedelics can make you confront you're true self......
  3. There are some folk who definitely shouldn't take anything. Often these people are put off from the outset, which is a good thing. The worst are those who just don't get it & specialise in bringing everyone down around them. I fcuking hate that.....
  4. I tried truffles a little over a couple years ago & they were pretty good. Just went for mid-strength & it was just right for walking around the city, very relaxed & laughing at nothing in particular.......:-)
  5. How the fcuk anyone can align themselves to any one party in this day & age is beyond me..........it would be great to sort through all the cranks & driftwood & just cherry pick the men of principle & capability, put them all together & hope they come up with something good......haha Of course completely fanciful, but then so are most of the current options......
  6. There's nothing like reading the THL to cheer you up in the morning.....haha...
  7. It will only get dirty again anyway........
  8. Ironically they took it out of the hands of one of the most able men in the country & fed it rabbit laced with lead shot. Of course that was after firstly orchestrating an expensive police raid! All for nothing.........
  9. I think the fact that you hardly ever see muzzled dogs out & about speaks volumes............defiantly seems to be a stigma & ego issue going on there......
  10. Can we just clarify this fact. Was it not the first 7 years of the New Labour rule, following nearly 20 years of tory rule, that the country was running at a surplus? Does that not speak for itself? Governments care for their economy through legislation etc as a means of increasing the pot from which to feed off. These effects aren't instantaneous and so when a new government come to power the economy will take a finite time to change and so the new government will ride on their predecessors legacy, for a short while at least. If we view the national deficit, we see relative consistency th
  11. I agree with some of the facts mate & do I believe so many people are misguided, but everyone seems to forget the economic effects that shite in Iraq & Afghanistan that Tony Blair dragged us into to inflate his own fcuking ego has had as well & we are still paying for that in more ways than one......
  12. A couple of my dad's best mates were settled travellers (both now deceased). I think coming from Yorkshire to the southeast in the 60's & being an outsider, he naturally gravitated towards travellers through running dogs & horses...... The way my dad lived his life & the fact that he then went on to take us (his family) on to Africa & Asia meant we learnt from a young age there's was more to life than just 'us & them'
  13. A rolled up newspaper (preferably a broadsheet) & a stern 'no'........
  14. That's not priced in proper money, though, is it ? Ok.....a couple of weeks ago it cost me about £20 to drive from brussels to North Essex, is that proper enough? :-) That's better! But what was the total including ferry fare ? Fcuk knows! That's the wife's department ;-).................& it was the shuttle..... You've got a "business manager" too, then ? Yes she's admin & finance & I do all the donkey work..................some things never change ;-)
  15. Only as we know it at the moment. Tomorrow could bring a huge leap forward with an unexpected discovery that would transform space travel. Maybe CERN will find a superluminous tachyon and special rel can go f**k itself. Or maybe we'll figure out wormhole technology. BH - You DO realise you posted this on THL and not some nerdy scientist forum, right? lol......I didn't realise Born was bilingual?

  18. Diesel was still cheaper when I first bought my own van 20 years ago, but it soon went up! Diesel €1.08 in my local...................which is nice ;-)
  19. Shithouses in every walk of life mate.......;-)

    Fisty Cuffs

It's been so long since I threw a punch I can barely remember the feelings...........when you get caught up in some random violence there's rarely time to think. The last time I had no time even to punch..........A van pulled up & a couple of geezers asked me for directions in Birmingham city centre one early Sunday morning......as I turned to explain I got smashed round the head! Hahaha.......there's some sad cnuts about haha......
  21. Was it starting a family that made you settle completely marshman? There can't be that many travellers that have done the 'knowledge' or is there?
  22. What about picking up the accents? I find that interesting, how some easily do & others never do...........I got speaking to a mancunion couple yesterday, they'd been here 25 & 15 years respectively & both still spoke like they had just left Manchester haha.......their 6 year old boy had been born here, put through the Flemish school system & had the weirdest fcuking accent....haha My dad's the same, a Yorkshireman that's spent most of his life outside Yorkshire, but still retains a strong accent :-).......but I also know a chap who moved to Wales from Essex & returned a y
  23. A bit like Noye......I know he didn't take an old man out, but he still killed a young guy, for no other reason than losing face & he was apparently a well known informant. I bet he's doing ok inside?
  24. yea, their gonna fook up the whiplash game, The future will be all new cars with built in cameras......................& that may not be too far away
