Yes I like the idea of using primitive methods, that's one of the reasons I get such a buzz from hawking, it hasn't changed much in 6000 years!....& I think I felt that buzz when I hit the model Mouflon with an Arrow!

I know mate, it just makes me laugh a bit.....haha If I 100% know something doesn't exist I tend to lose interest rapidly, like I doubt If I'd even comment on a 'Fairy's Down the Bottom of the Garden' thread...haha & I don't take too much interest in God threads, I just haven't got an open mind on those subjects, so my input would be negligible, but thats just me.... Yet here we are........I'm sure you've got a sneaky interest in what Socks says? Haha...I certainly ain't going to turn his verdict into the definitive answer, although I'll continue to keep an open mind if he thinks i

I bought a Victorian farm house with out buildings and 7 acres at auction about 12 years ago ,done two barn conversions out of the the out buildings to rent out ,that's my pension I ,dont have to get up for work, I will never be rich but happy as a pig in shit edited to say I love the uk and wild horses could not drag me from my placeSome close friends of mine live an idyllic lifestyle on the Essex/Suffolk border......A little 500 year old cottage tucked away on some land they own, that's mostly made up of woodland & meadows, we would hunt the land together, sometimes catching rabbits

I can see this definitely being a little goal for me in the future.......Right now I'm outlaying quite a bit of cash on another little hunting project, so I can't see me getting away with getting a bow this year ! Haha..... ......but next year? I can see myself maybe updating this thread next summer....;-)

Really sorry to hear about that Byron. I enjoy your posts more than most on here & long may it continue. Keep on keeping on mate....;-)

Keep your dreams simple & don't take too much for granted. Our basic goal is to go to Spain, maybe the north?, when my wife takes early retirement. We will still be in our 50s. A modest place overlooked by or in the mountains, some land, miles away from tourism or ex-pat colonies.......I envisage putting some food on the table with a goshawk & maybe a running dog & a bit of growing. A simple life with simple pleasures. I've never been one for dreaming about big houses, expensive cars & the general trappings of materialism or foreign lands tbh. Despite what some might ha

I'm all for banter mate & piss taking at times....haha, but I'll go one step further & say it's been patronising piss taking throughout this thread, not by all, but some.......that's the reality of this thread, like it or not. I'm not starting an argument, just giving my point of view. When Greyman came on and stated he had the golden egg but wasn't willing to share it, it was only going to go one way........but in fairness I wouldn't call it piss taking, just a gentle ribbing maybe......what did he expect ? I'll make no further comment until Tuesday....:-)

I've been in contact with a 3/4 grown cheetah that was hand reared, but still very unpredictable & scary at that age! I sort of handled a 6 month old lion cub the other week, wouldnt like to have pissed it off,and the same day I stroked some 11 month old tigers which could have done serious damage if they werent in a good mood, small wonder some people suddenly found they had bought more than they could handle Well that tops my Cheetah story :-) Rather you than me mate.......I don't trust those things. My ex helped hand rear that cheetah & I'd been around it quite a bit, but the

You'd have thought but then although they are basically right for the job in practice I could be persuaded that they would avoid such a foreign beasty. Now, those Biggerstaff hounds are born and bred Cougar/African Leopard hounds, those fuckers aren't bred to shy away from such quarry. From what I've seen of them on social media, they're as serious about hound work and hunting as anyone! "For us it begins and ends with the hounds. They are our life and our passion. Our breeding program is simple- best to the best. If a dog wont put his nose down or doesnt have the heart and grit to hunt day

Well I for one am interested in what socks says when he sees this footage. I find it hard to believe Greyman is going to drive a hundred miles to try and convince socks his footage of a stray moggy is in fact a cougar. Surely not? He must think he's got something??

If you're getting involved now, I'm out! Know it all...!! ;-) haha.....

It's a good point, but some animals would of been kept purely as caged animals, especially as many owners would of lost their nerve as the cats got older.I've been in contact with a 3/4 grown cheetah that was hand reared, but still very unpredictable & scary at that age! Haha....So I can imagine many owners cutting contact early on. Why is it always a Cougar or a Panther, why never Lion or Tiger? I'll take a wild guess that Lions & Tigers would find it a lot more difficult to go unnoticed, I'll also take a wild guess that not many people were irresponsible enough to release a lion
