That article is 4 years old though. It would be nice to see that sort of approach being taken more often.

No I didn't think it came across like at all mate. Yes, if I had the need for an airgun I'd get one tomorrow. As it is, if I need to shoot things in trees I use a 410 or 12 bore. If I need to shoot things on the ground i use a rifle. I wouldn't use a 300 win mag to shoot a rabbit or a 22lr to shoot a boar, so to me it's all about the right tool for the right job and at the moment I don't have any use for one. As said before, I had an airgun for many many years but I didn't see the point of having one sitting there idle.

You have to know your limitations with an air rifle what it is capable of doing and what not i was out last week end and saw three deer over 1000 yrds i picked up there eye shine i got to with in 70yrds of them two dowse and a stag the stag never took his eyes off me not once whether he new i was not a threat ill never know but it was me that walked away not them and when i went into the other field i looked back through the scopes and the stag was still looking at me it was a good moment and some thing i enjoy , the point is if i had the right rifle would i have shot one ,,,,id l

How come there's no celebs who seem to think that brexit is a good idea? Or keeping uncivilised savages out is a good idea? Are they really all blinkered namby-pambies or do the media only quote selected so-called celebs?

I really can't see how anyone can compare trained soldiers to amateurs wearing balaclavas. Especially amateurs who like to call themselves an army but never fancied a toe to toe fight with real soldiers.

Just my tuppence worth... Putting that question in the airgun section isn't going to get you a balanced response as mostly only airgunners will answer it. Like most I started with an air rifle I got from my Mum's catalogue. In those days you could take it almost anywhere you wanted and using open sights was just what you did back then. Once I got my FAC and SGC. I kept an air rifle for many years "just in case" and each and every gun had a different purpose. My last air rifle was a big heavy HW80 and I reckon I used it once a year or less, so got rid of it a couple of years ago as my o

Tea and coffee carrying is always a hard one to assess. Obviously the longer you carry it the cooler it becomes therefore less of a risk to the clumsy berk carrying it.

Sounds like over half the population doesn't. 51.9% are sick to the back teeth of being overrun by tribes of savages. You reckon every single leave voter was motivated by a dislike of immigration? Of course not. A massive percentage was though. Enough's enough. So 51.9% of voters aren't "sick to the back teeth of being overrun by tribes of savages" then? I'm not a statistician. I would think more than 51.9% of the white population are, whether they voted or not. You can't use these statistics to forward your cause in one post claiming 1.9% absolutely proves we all love foreigners

If You Could Find The Answer To One Question Only, What Would It Be?
johnny.w replied to DogFox123's topic in General Talk
If I only had one chance to ask that question, I'd probably take a couple of days to think of a worthy question. -

Fed up with turkey? Never! Turkey stew this afternoon.

Generally correct. But if a FEO has deemed a piece of land unsuitable for anything above .17 hmr and you knowingly used a larger caliber, even with an open ticket, you are treading on thin ice. I don't normally disagree with you, but that's definitely incorrect. With an open ticket you can shoot where YOU deem safe (with permission of course). What the FEO deems safe is irrelevant, The conditions on your FAC clearly state this. I'm talking about land which a FEO has visited and dreamed unsafe for a specific caliber. Try it, shoot on a permission you know a FEO has deamed unsafe for a

That really is appalling. Oxford should be teaching the students about the subjects they are reading, not how to sound like a twat.

Roast turkey followed by turkey sandwiches for tea. Boxing day cold turkey, ham and pickles followed by turkey and ham sandwiches. Mmmmm. And probably the day after too.

A man went to the doctor and said "I'm worried my wife might be going deaf." The doctor said, "There's an easy way to test that. When you get home, ask her a question. If she doesn't answer, move a bit closer and try again. Keep dong that till she answers and you'll know how hard of hearing she really is." The man went home and as soon as he got in the front door he said, "What's for dinner?" No answer. He moves closer to her and asks again. Still no answer. He keeps trying, getting closer each time until he's standing right next to her. "What's for dinner?" The wife said

He liked pointing guns at other people. Not so keen on having the tables turned. Good riddance.

A policeman knocked at my door last night and said "I'm afraid it looks like your wife has been hit by a bus." I replied "I know but she's good with the kids."

I think Holland and France will vote to leave the EU. There was a time calling a spade a spade made you a racist. Now it makes you President of the USA. People must be so relieved to know there is a choice to be something other than a hand-wringing apologist.

I was sitting on the bed pulling my boxers off when my wife said "You really spoil those dogs."

Are you really advocating attacking antis on a public forum?
