  1. Thanks. She is very swollen today more than last week when I checked.
  2. Its the hob's first season he's 11.5 months. because of the way the hutch is designed, I haven't gotten a chance to see them in action but I've heard her screaming. all I can say is that she seems very resistant and tries to get away from him out side the hutch. are there other clues I could use that tells me they've done the deed? maybe his johnson sticking out after he's mounted? lol How long does it take for her swelling to go down after they've mated? cheers
  3. My hob has been in with one of my jills for 3 days and I want to know is it normal for her to be squeaking/screeching when tries to mount her? she's definitely ready and swollen but I can't tell if she wants to put out or not. Any advice much appreciated lads and ladies

  6. It's always nice taking wild animals from their natural environment so you can feel like 'the man' because you own it. . . . . hey I don't anything-just ferrets. never said i was going to buy just curious

  14. Is she planning on using that mink for minkenry in the UK?
  15. Plenty of mink in continental Europe mate but they're wild I guess some countries may have different rules though. Well done to her! perhaps I may try my hand at the sport one day.
  16. How come the differences in litter sizes, The One?
  17. My mom's dog who she got when she was 7 years old growled and barked viciously at any black person. just one of those things. I am pretty sure the dog wasn't a racist though. she was after all black and tan colour herself... Some say it's because years back and even now they were guard dogs for them and got badly mis treated and they have senced that during time. Most of the time i walk any dog i have had passing a black person and the person really seems apprehensive and backs away. Does the dog sence fear in them or regognise their smell! Also on a slightly off topic many say that

  19. My lurchers have grown up with ferrets so they were playing together as pups/kits. although one of my bitches did turn funny when she came of age as she started to work became a bit over zealous around the ferrets but took her a couple of months to learn that they were not game by working on outings with the ferrets. This has only happened with her not my other two. Depends on the dog they should all be treated as individuals. good luck
  20. Mine aren't phased by loud noises aside from my eu hob who will be only a touch jumpy. Generally no ferrets I've ever had react badly to loud noises when they passed the age of 20 weeks or so.
  21. I agree the teeth. Check whether they are discoloured or transparent. the extent to which they are either or both of the two on different parts of the canines should give you a very rough estimate. its helped me age my jill I got in August.
  22. Out of season when not working, my lot get run of the garden, house and local open spaces rest of the year. They get played with too with toys etc. They are nice and fat right now but always on the go
