  1. sorry that does complicate matters.....hope it is resolved soon for you
  2. brilliant .....except the link for the deer and shotguns takes you to another thread
  3. it will be cheaper to get someone else to get a ticket and put them on theres than paying 6 months storage dont you have any friends with certificates? the shotguns at least are easily lent......they are still your property even though you dont have a ticket. so you could get a mate to house them for you
  4. a lot more is placed on your current state and behaviour, admitting when you made a mistake and taking a caution will probably look better than denying it going to court and getting found guilty. remember you are banned for life from possessing a firearm if you were sentenced to 3 years or more in prison and banned for 5 years if you were sentenced to between 3months and 3 years......these are cautions and a drink drive conviction years ago, i think your chances are quiet high of getting it, as long as you are steady and on the straight and narrow now. I knew a game keeper who had a

me too getting the domain expired page. I believe those that are seeing something, its either a saved webpage on their pc (computers do that sometimes and show you the last time you went on how it was) or they have higher access than us mere members and are viewing the admin version? if the domain name has expired that means that Carreg is going to need to pay for the name again on that host website? or it may be something altogether different that i dont understand

the wife was browsing ebay and found this item.......hilarious picture http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ladies-Jumper-Dress-With-Tags-/180910341999?pt=UK_Women_s_Jumpers_Cardigans&hash=item2a1f18bf6f#ht_500wt_1287
  7. i moved house in march, i only have a sgc. I have a mate who works for a firearms licensing department in a different area to where i live, he told me that i would need to put my guns at an rfd or loan them to him , then tell my feo i have moved and wait for them to come and inspect the cabinet and reissue my sgc then i could get my guns back. as it turned out all i did was ring up my feo, she just wanted me to send the sgc back for them to change the address and she didn't bother coming to look at my cabinet in my new house.........she said she might have done if i had a FAC but as i
  8. Or try and source and buy what he wants for the swap?
  9. agree with that......and you may be surprised how they can help sometimes.....with cartridges my local shop took receipt of some for me from another dealer, cartridges he didn't stock and which i wanted, but to save me sending my certificate off and having to pay the carriage then to my house, he ordered them from teh other RFD and rang me when he had them in.....i paid the other RFD what the cartridges were advertised at and that was that................he also bought a gun i wanted from another gunshop for me, he bought it at trade price and just charged me what the other shop were advertisi
  10. there is no such thing anymore as cheap cartridges. when i first got my SGC about 8 years ago....it was £3.50 for 25 eley grand prix......now they are nearly double that. last cartridges i bought was 50 CCI claybusters , £5.55 per 25 they were the cheapest they had in the shop, 28gm of 7.5's .....personally wouldn't hunt with them but OK for messing about with a few clays/targets
  11. i have a spanish side by side 12g......works ok but is as rough as a badgers arse. £25
  12. just to add speak to your local gun shop and see if they can help......i wanted a hushpower 12g that i saw on guntrader for sale in lancashire in a gunshop my local gunshop bought it direct from them for me and charged me nothing, he simply bought it at trade price and charged me the price they had it advertised at on guntrader, a new gun, and it was cheaper than the ones direct from the saddlery and gun room as the shop in lancashire had bought it prior to their price increase...... worth asking your local rfd for help/advice......
  13. OK I understand that, but you will have to bear in mind that if you are having the shotgun sent to your local RFD (TNT cost of collection around £25) will the seller agree to pay that sum? If the seller is an RFD and he sends it to your RFD the TNT cost will be around £16 - either way you will need to establish who is paying. Worst case scenerio - you dont like the gun and it will be sent back at another £16. If you add RFD transfer fee (£25-£30) collection/send by TNT (£16 or £25) and potential return (£16) leaves me with one question for you - what does your car do to the gallon??!!
  14. 18 months time you will be gun shopping
  15. not only why can we snare some animals and not others. you know that you can hunt rats and rabbits with a dog but not foxes and deer? that also seems perverse....whats the difference?
  16. what kind of gun? air weapon? shotgun?
  17. i think ferrets are weaned a lot earlier than andy kelly thinks.......last litter i had were eating by themselves at 6 weeks old and the jill wasn't feeding them......she was sleeping elsewhere and climbing out of their way Its handy to get a kit asap to tame it and get it into your ways.......i think 7 weeks old is a fair age to let them go,
  18. why would it have been worse if it was a dog? its bloody awful whatever the animal was..... this is awful, i am suprised the ferret survived so long in the van in this weather
  19. talk of scotsmen with sunburn reminds me of when frankie boyle was on about the fella who stopped the terrorist at the airport.........saving a load of scots from getting burnt.......but thats what would have happened anyway if they had got that flight
  20. cold lager.......lol I was in the garden last night actually having a little bottle of french lager, i gave my hob ferret a splash, he frigging loved it....didn't give him too much didn't want him getting ill or causing a disturbance............back on topic, my wife threw him an apple core to play with the other day, he ate it, i suppose it was cold and wet....
  21. mine has a water bowl, you know the big ceramic dog bowls, holds a couple of pints of water and is too heavy to knock over. Ferrets struggle to drink enough water fast enough from bottles so a big bowl is better and they can splash and paddle in it also when its warm......plus the hutches being between the shed and the back garden wall means they always have some shade on the hutch and also some part thats in the sun. ferrets get neglected by a lot of folk at the best of times, in the warm weather its a good idea that we are discussing these idea's to keep them cool. i agree that wet
  22. your mate is right. The more you shoot with one gun the better you will shoot........look at george digweed for example......he only ever uses that same old perazzi....whether at clays, game, vermin or when winning a world championship again and again
  23. brother in law was at bastion last year........he got a fantastic tan and lost a bit of weight.......which he actually needed to do.....lol wont be long before your home shopping for a shotgun
