Had a couple of hours out this morn, first time this season. Bolted quick 6 out 1st spot an birch nailed them all, we then bolted a few more for a younger dog but he never caught although he wad close, I had a Jill try an grab my birch as well lol even tho they both been here for 3 years lol I'll put it down to early season excitement lol back out in morn but a tad more serious this time, hopefully mop up the last few....

Being out on me own when everybody else is tucked up... Watching me kids laugh or smile.. Watching a young dog learning.. Ferreting on frosty mornings.. Catching a particular fish you've been trying for.. Having a decent wife that don't mind me doing what I want with the dogs and ferrets

Even if he was to be a producer, what would he produce? Way I see it is them dogs are bred are for over there, ours are bred for over here, I could be wrong but I'm happy with mine

Imagine 10 litters of pups and all out the same sire, what it if none a them produced anything better than we had to start?? Rescue centres and pre loved would be swamped lol you'll be lucky to find 10 men interested that would cull.... I'll keep what I got, if it ain't broke....

Lol some will say they are easier, some will say they ain't, best way would be to go and see, I personally think this thread was a wind up but that's just me.... what I will say about the dales bunnys tho is, they may not be golf course bunnys or thin on the ground and wary. But they don't just hop in the motor for you, dog still needs to catch them, go and see that's my advice I did, loved the place went mad for it but I've now moved onto pastures New....

suppose on paper, a 1x pit x grey x coursing dog, if it came out right you got everything (speed,stamina,guts,power,) should catch+kill anything on 4 legs Deffo does produce some good dogs if bred right....

Iv t,ried me hardest not to comment lol I've been out with a few whippet s in me days an some where from Mb`s line. They ain't nowt special an can do no more than a lot of other whippet s, granted some of today's dogs are tiny and some are bred for speed but there are others out there capable of what Mb`s do. Why don't anybody complain about his dogs? That's easy very few complain about whippet s full stop, unless it's the bad specimens... would you admit to be taken in by sales patter? If you want a whippet most folk know what to expect, so why would they moan when they get a whippet lol be a

Bang on Mackay I agree, even if he does breed off his young birch, wouldn't going back to the dog that produced her( her sire) or another dog from the line be the best option. You should know what your getting then, ideally....

If the line is that good why are you left with 1 young birch to keep it going? Surely there are older tested dogs in the line you could use, even if they are somebody else's????
