Yeah gnash its a mini loft, I imagine the birds will be moved if they are to be bred off, and given loads of excersize. It's how a lot of roller men house there kits/teams of birds

when i say pures i mean working pures, there aint many left, a friend of mine has 2 that are really old an retired now, but these are more like most of the deernound lurchers than kc bred pures. i think a good line of deerhoundxs would become the new working pure, just like the line bred coursing dogs are doing the job greyhounds were bred for, if that makes sense lol fook papers and the kc, but why not try and get a good working line as close to the old pures as possible, even without papers most with any sense would class them as working deerhounds -

wasnt the point of the thread what they are lacking? well its obvious what they are lacking is folk getting organised an breeding togther with acommon goal. the diffrence between grafters an non grafters is gettin more by the day, if you were to put that last post somewhere and others done same, then findin the right dog or bitch wouls be much easier and big heavy clumsy donkey like dogs could be avoided, which surely would only do good for type. looking at them pics of yours and then seeing some of the monstrositys about just shows the gap in types, dont let it get any bigger, id have 1 like -
come do the last of me fwnces then stig lol

both if that what you feel is needed, without the working pures there will be no more crosses but by using the working crosses you will improve the pures if that makes sense. iv seen a few threads recently about this type and crossung it with stag blood from usa or adding collie blooded lurchers, i personally think without a heap of guys willing to pull together then in the near future it will become a lot harder to improve or lock in the qualities of the decent ones about today -
mixin it with oil deffo works, but it takes months to dry and with a couple of young feral kids here wasnt an option for me lol

birddog iv tried them, and liked them, if they are bred decent and not too big, but i aint gonna lie about them just because i like them. who really cares what they look like, get a line or 2 breeding right an getting grafted properly and i bet the looks will follow. -

i did say a few hundred bunnys at the very least, im not askin folks to admit to anything else, but aye your right, honesty is gonna be paramount, its pointless making out your dog does anything other than it can do, itll only come out in the end. i dont think folk should be too quick to seperate the pure from the crosses, imo itll take the crosses to improve the pures, if a group of like minded folks got together and were HONEST about there dogs and what they want in future, then id be intrested in helping out, but imo honesty and the future of the type should come first an not money and repu -

well mr ferret lucky you, but on this island we cant, we are stuck to bunnys, what im getting at, is instead a all sitting talking about it, why not get real, get a list of dogs that are grafting, and what they are grafting then use these dogs to improve/keep the qualities yous want. i like the type but the guys that are all over the net advertising litters dont graft them. no matter what anybody says, would i have another, i suppose i would if it come off grafters that were bred to try an improve the type, and not a bug plodding donkey.... -

without nit picking or trying to piss anybody off, how many have actually got this type an use it other than to put up pretty pics an parade it about on a lead cos it looks like the romantic lurcher type? anything less than a good few hundred bunnys a season at the very least and you may aswell have lurchers imo as lets face it not many are running the land they was designed for never mind quarry..... -
i think if you come on the site and you get the wee red alert at top of page, but if you miss it and leave site then come back on its not there its just in your conversations, hope this makes sense lol

you need to stop this fireman after seein your pics at breeding season i bought me and the kids a baby cock budgie, they love it an it already talks like parrot lol but after these pics i can see me out measuring up the garden lol quality pics of birds in tip top condition.. again..

when i kept canaries and pigeons and even the budgie we got now i offer them all sorts of stuff, they smaller birds in cages always had sand in bottom then cuttlefish and grit and iv seen them all use it, i once had glosters and a hen would only take the sand and small bits of oyster shell mixed through it but her cock and a few others only ever took the grit, and some took both and more. cant say iv ever kept any bird without so couldnt say if they get by without. i also crushed eggshells with a pestle an mortar i think they called lol they all ate that aswell. was old timers i learnt about b
