We have literally had hundreds of brownies this summer on bubble float and fly on our river mate, got to the point the kids wanted to try trotting maggots for grayling they have caught that many trout this year lol

Mepps that good our local river won't allow spinners lol pity as well as give any kid a light spinning kit and a day on river an they are literally fishing for the rest of there life's.... I taught both my kids to fish with spinners and they are both fishing mad now

The few 1st crosses I've seen were all pants. Must have been unlucky but the few coursing dogs iv seen work were far better. I know what I'd rather have. Maybe it was just a few bad examples of first crosses I've seen but they have stuck in my mind, whereas I'm sure I'll have a line bred coursing dog at some point to really give 1 a good go at lamping ferreting an mooching

This is summat i have always fancied trying. And if I'm honest the wage wouldn't be an issue. Can I ask some of you pestys? Does it get too much? Doing your hobby as a job so to speak. I get a lot of bunny bashing every winter and I love it, just as much today as I did years ago. Used to be an ole boy here that used to sell it. 8 a pouch a baccy an 4.50 for 20 cigs. He stopped it now an whole place is gutted lol I'm sure my father in law told us other day instead of 8 quid a pouch he now pays 15ish out shops, is it really any wonder folk risk it to sell it or just buy it. This poxy kindle thingy has shut predictive text lol an edditing is just as bad. You are right tho the few guys I net with have to start a bit earlier when doing there own local areas. Whereas this area seems to produce better bags in the early hours, all with the exception of the business parks I do here. Them bunny will sit tighter earlier, I think it's due to there being folk around all day so they have lost fear to a degree, but during the night they don't see folk so they spook real easily. When I go lamping I don't start till at least midnight. But when I'm netting I leave it a bit later again, I do have 1 spot tho and unless you net it in the first couple hours after dark it seems to go quiet after that and then I usually end up with odd 1 or 2
