But really how much pain have you to take before you call it quits?     Couple hours out this afternoon with the lad an the fly rods, we only caught 3 fish all under 1lb and all released to get bigger for us lol my phone battery run out so no pics of the fish. My lads cast is really getting there with his wee 3 weight brook rod. We back out tomorrow weather permitting so hopefully we get a couple pics of some fish to add, he was jealous after seeing young Fins bday day out thread so here's his thread lol

    I had one a few years ago, big black racey dog, could have passed as a grey, had lightning fast kick off and speed but used to lose a fair bit of condition if given anymore than 2 hard nights a week. Was a pleasure to own an work but ended up in a pet home as I needed a dog which could do more graft than he could handle. If I'm honest he put me off 3/4 needs for good....

    I agree fieldcraft will make the job easier, and so does a locator, use both an it's bound to help, sort of belt an braces job lol, the ferrets I had until recently never needed dug out. Since losing the line tho and getting new stock of had to dig a few bunnys, I don't mind at all and neither does the land owners I'm ferreting for.

    Some ferrets won't stay with a bottled up bunny so I don't think they need a collar. Other ferrets will stay so a collar is a godsend saves waiting and you get the bunny after the dig lol it's about knowing your ferrets. I wouldn't go ferreting without my locator
