    Not sure I understand. My grandwother told me about her dad and he was in the trenches in WW1. They captured some Germans and put them in part of the trench then when it got too much trouble they threw grenades in there and killed the lot of them. War is hell to coin a phrase....I haven't been there but I know people do crazy shit they wouldn't normally do. We shouldn't punish them for acting the way we trained them to be. And that, Nik, is exactly my point !

    it was black silver usually go`s black and you can feel the difference in the quality and weight without revealing the hallmarks for everyone else to see--- once I spotted it I buried it at the bottom of the box I was going to pay upto quid for the lot so when I was the only bidder at a fiver I was more than happy So it owes more to sleight of hand and skullduggery?

    No re-homing centres......................? Number of dogs 'put down' each year might fall, if it wasn't possible to fob the animal off and make it someone else's problem, and if the only option was to personally take the dog on it's 'final walk' ? (Neems- just pipped me there!)

    Latest........................ The Doge de Bordeaux (French mastiff) shown in some photos with the little girl is not the dog being investigated by police. That seems to be saying that the family pet was not responsible. On a general note, I have a Mastiff X, and when the grandchildren visit, she is never left alone with them - not even for a second ! It's just a sensible precaution, but just because she weighs around 45kg, doesn't mean she is more prone to bite, in my opinion. Edited to add - the Doge wasn't re-homed to the family by ArsePCA.
