  1. Let the pet breeder have his dogs. Best case scenario is that the dogs will end up like the springer spaniel. Look at the 'Show bred' ESS, and the 'Field bred' ESS. They went their seperate ways over 70 years ago. The show people got their good looking dogs, and the workers kept the best working dogs. You'll still always get good workers if you know where to look.

I've got alot of sympathy for your 'mate', Tawny. I went with a posh slapper once and caught lobsters!
  5. Don't worry about it mate! I had one of them days on sunday. On the first bury we net up, I went to pick a rabbit up in the net & it somehow got out of the net and bolted. as I was resetting the net, another rabbit bolted out of a hole that was covered in ivy. We then done a few more burys with no joy, and then we got to a small 3 holer under a shed. The ferret must have known there was no digging to her, as she killed the rabbit down the hole! 25 minutes later, out she came covered in blood! If I hadn't have fed her up first, she'd have been a lot longer. On the way back, we tried
  6. What's going to happen to mr. Brains Faggots? Are they going to call them Mr. Brains Lumps of meat with gravy? What about in the chippy. "Hi, can I have chips, mushy peas and some of those meat lumps with gravy!" It could get even worse, Black pudding will be called 'Ethnic' pudding, Ginger beer will have to be called 'Ginger flavoured soft drink, (because of the rhyming slang) etc. etc. What a load of bo**ocks! You won't be able to speak in english, in this country before long!

    that bbs site

I think we're being infiltrated by the BBS...! One thing about the net, we still have freedom of speech. Therefore I can say what I want about Airgun BBS, and if you don't like it, I am a member there, and never fell out with anybody. What I didn't like, was the way some of the pr*cks responded to youngsters who were genuinely asking for some sound advice. Now, i'm not saying that everone on there is a pr*ck, I got some good advice of some people, but don't expect me to recommend that site to anybody. That's my opinion and i'm entitled to it.
  8. Just a question for you guys in the states. With something stupid like 93% of the land in the UK being privately owned, so requiring permision to hunt (or not, depends on your methods...! ), what's the score with the publicly owned 'wilderness' areas that you guys are lucky to have? I mean, can you just go out and shooting/hunting at the right time of year? Or do you have to get some sort of permit for what your shooting, and have you got bag limits on the amount you can shoot, that kind of thing. Just asking out of curiousity, as unless you have land, or spend all of your time asking land own
  9. I read somewhere, (on this site, i think) that the poley X's were faster and more likely to kill in the ground, as a wild animal that chases it prey, but don't catch it wouldn't last long. I don't see the point, unless you like digging, or your line of ferrets were useless.
  10. Welcome to the site & happy hunting!
  11. We're I live, used to be a fishing town but it's all a big tourist spot now. There's the remnents of a old dialect that was in use by the old fishermen, that's sadly on it's way out due to the influx of people moving here to retire/bring their children up in a safe environment, from the cities. It's only spoken now by a few of the old guy's in the pub. My grandfather's 'Tenby' accent was that thick, that unless you knew him and the dialect, you wouldn't be able to understand him! A few of the younger people say the odd word of it here & there, but I think when the old boys have faded from
  12. Less of the "OLD" you cheeky !
  13. Bloody hell! That shed is like aladdins cave!
  14. Nice one Woodga! I bet you slept well after all that digging!
  15. Great news, if you live where they are going to be installed. But the netters will just move along the coast and make the problem worse in other areas. I heard from the brother of a bass netter, who was netting just off of Pendine beach here in west wales, which has always been a cracking bass mark, that every time he pulled his net in he was making £5,000.
  16. Don't worry about Deker, he can can be a bit of a cantankerous old bugger sometimes.............! Only joking, Deker mate!
  17. Tell me about it! I lost 2 like that yesterday, and 1 slipped the bloody net!

I'd have thought the fuse was to protect the battery when you were charging it. Probably not a good idea to turf it out.
