  1. none sorry, will try and get some next time im out with him atb
  2. classic double, was the name given to winchester shotguns , they stopped making them ,but a gunsmith who worked for winchester at the time took them over trading as classic double until he got to trade as winchester if im wrong please correct me atb
  3. i once loaded for an american gun on scone estate, who was shooting with an over and under classic double [winchester] he was firing 31 shots for 30 birds and most of them were at 50 yards, or more when i asked him how does he manage to be so consistant his reply was practice, practise and more practise,so it can be done regularly
  4. i had a bullx what could do it but only on shallow earths, never any deeper than 3 feet depending on type of ground
  5. i had two bedlington x greyhound put to a foxhound then put to another foxhound, not sure what you would call that cross, anyway they were brother and sister ,I ran them with my hounds they could hunt very good but they didnt give any tongue, the bitch wasnt anywhere near as gutsy as the dog as she would be a bit hesitant but the dog had no reverse gear ,these were only used for daytime hunting with my other hounds and never tried on the lamp or single handed
  6. am your man but only if it isnt a worker ,because my terriers are shite, lol would a £1000 pound be alright by the way thats each, have a nice day
  7. the best thing to do is once you buy your deben fling it in the skip cause there shite,if you value your terrier buy the best, atb
  8. want to sell it might do whats it worth?? half a quid
  9. them hounds look dedicated, are they a good solid pack atb
  10. The terrier hasnt seen a fox so hows it supposed to mark one . I would trust a lurcher who has seen a fox over a terrier who hasnt any day . Just keep trying mate . because it oviously has a nose on it or it wouldnt no what sqirrells or mink were,if its well enough bred going to ground would be natural for it,as for lurchers marking to ground its the same for hounds marking the terrier will have a better nose underground as hounds only follow the scent on top of the ground to the hole unless they can fit down the hole atb
  11. here here, lol i would have it out on rabbits it should get the picture pretty quickly atb
  12. always trust your terrier no matter how old even though your lurchers have marked a hole, the fox might have had a piss at the entrance,if its well enough bred it should go alright,p.s.did you have an experienced terrrier to try after your pup said no nothing at home,no matter how good an earth looks like its holding if any of my terriers says no im happy at that
  13. when i first started i did double up now and again ,but i didnt have anyone but myself to learn from but soon stopped when a terrier got it from front [fox] and back[other terrier] also most of the foxes were in rabbit burrows so spent more time digging rabbits than foxes but that was down to inexperience, now a days a no it all [my arse] lol atb
