No this is a man who signed up to serve the uk and seen friends killed and various body parts of said comrades hung on trees. He should not have been named as now his family are at risk of reataliation attacks! This country sickens me like, If you read the papers and seen his father had just passed away, his fellow compatriots that had been kia had limbs dangling from trees and other factors(was exemplary decorated soldier with various tours) the sentence should be lenient. get the saw out and away and top a tree, middle of the night, adds some excitement to getting a tree, can mind going out with the auld boy for the tre, was always the 15th or after never before but gpoing out and finding the right tree to cut down and strap in to the pick up and away home, can always remember one year got a bit ambitious and couldnt get it in the patio door! was a braw tree though . . . lol

He'll knows I just never understood why he was there and took up a lot of the pace of the books which I think would be edited out in this day and age, it slowed the plot and I just found it annoying to read that part of the book lol. Maybe your right and was a reflection of the country side being conserved by one lonely decker in his blue jacket and that, I found the hobbit a better read it's a nicely paced book that reads well and enjoyable

The Lord of the rings films were good plus there was no bombadil episode(just what was the point of this part in the book??) also it does miss a lot of the emotion the books convey, old tree beard wasn't what I imagined read. Gandalf was conveyed brilliantly though IMHO. Best fi based on a book has to be Conan though lol!
