How would you evaluate teachers performance though? a standardised across the board evaluation of performance would not work, a teacher with a class that has alot of pupils with little home support and help in poorer areas and a well of area with all the help from parents going to parents evening and helping there children would obviously help a pupil it cannot all be the teachers at fault for some children not interested in education or caring to improve themselves surely? i know there are some bad teachers out there but there is some gifted teachers doing there best with what they have, so h

Just read this and I was sitting thinking that it would'nt have been another life sentence if it was his first offence, however could it be due the the fact it was aprils killer that influenced the decision? I can see both sides of it here but when I just came out of the army and was jobless i worked in a bar 2 nights a week and made 70- quid, now that better off than benefits and gave me a sense of self worth i cant understand the mentality of some of these 24/7 365 a year benefits folks, its not that hard to earn a wage over 56 bloody pounds a week!! and even then there's voluntary work which always helps on the bits of papers they always like to see..... I was out cutting neighbours gardens, washing there windaes for a tenner a pop to get some extra cash even while working in the bar for co -
I read ALOT lol. Mainly fantasy and that, finished(upto last book released) Songs of ice and fire and left waiting on a cliffhanger for awhile really bugs me!! lol. Also liked alot of gemmel and eddings books(if your trying to get into fantasy there two of the easiest reads ever in fantasy). Gotta love Pratchett , discworld. bartimaeus by Jonathan stroud had me in stitches. Then on the pther scale i like reading the old gamekeepers tales and any poachers tales entertain me and give good wisdom on subjects. Just finished A poachers tale alfred curtis was a enjoyable read entertaining.

Well just joined here and thought I'd introduce myself, I'm David, 25 frm south west Scotland, auld boys a part ti,e keeper with his own syndicate and been into country pursuits all my life, looking to start going for the bunnys own the local farmers land(I grew up with all of them and have permissions and ferreted them with my dad when a young pup). Would like to get myself a wee whippet or bed x but taking my time over this decision as dont want to rush into buying a pup and regretting it later on(for the both of us).
