  1. I'm originally from Anfield, 42 years there. One or two lads still round there that work dogs too.
  2. Was going out with this real posh bit of totty once. Old money, family history, friends with Royalty & stuff..! She was obviously on a rebellious course and slumming it with me and I knew it too but she was seriously fit and damn good fun so why not! Anyways, the parents hated me, well sort of, I gave a hand with the old mans livestock once or twice and so he was civil but the mother spoke to me through gritted teeth, no matter how pleasant I was..! She, my bird, had her cousin over from Canada for a couple of months, nice lad, no class system there like here and as we hit it off he coul
  3. The Merseyside Working Terrier & Lurcher Club is in Liverpool. Established in 1980. Stick around, contribute to the forum, let folk get a feel of who you are and what your about and you never know, you might get an invite.
  4. Did ye go to Kev's earlier Tudds, I was there about 12.15?
  5. Hello and welcome to the forum, Liverpool is a city that has plenty of lads who work dogs, i'd be very surprised if you don't know of any local. There is a club also, The Merseyside Working Terrier & Lurcher Club, founded in 1980. Lot's of Scouse lads on here too. My advice would be, get a feel of things on here. It can be difficult for lads to 'welcome' and take out newbies in this current climate but stick around and contribute on here, folk will then get a feel for you, if your genuine or not, then things may start to open up for you.

    Rommel

Rommel... A mate used to have a 'real serious' Rottweiler called Rommel. Housed on a running line in front of his kennel block... BACK AND FORTH, BACK AND FORTH.... That dog wanted me dead... Scared the shite out of me each visit but I always thought it a great name...!!!!

  9. Fecking hell Tomo, where's the humor in that... I'd have shat meself..! Good tale though!
  10. I posted this on the breaking to sheep thred... I once owned a smart smooth black dog, Mick, of a similar stamp to Nuttall's original Miner. Always been 100% with mutton when I was around, even off a lead, totally ignored 'em and decent enough underground, though he did let himself down twice buy humping fresh air after sniffing near season bitches and wanting to go up one hole rather than down another..! Anyways, up the Lakes one summers day with a new girlfriend, Kirkby-Lonsdale to be exact and after boring her senseless about a bloke called Cyril Breay (all out of Plummers Fell terr

  18. Yootha Joyce was a very good female comic actor, from Man About The House to George and Mildred. As was Penelope Keith, Margo's character in The Goodlife was, IMO, better than Richard Briars and she both made and stole the show (and I always has a secret crush on her as a kid!). Anyone remember Hilda Baker as Nelly Pickles? One other, Jean Alexander as Hilda Ogden, not in a comedy but a comic actress in a soap, her and Stan, the stuff of legend.... Yootha..
