  1. I've noticed there's more agreement on here than bitter political disputes. I've had my moments on here and received plenty and dished it out myself. But I think everybody is realising we are all in the same boat. We are all screwed with a common political enemy.. the political system in the UK. It is so ingenious that whoever you vote for, you end up with the same outcome: policies intended to screw us even more. So as Taffy used to say in Dad's Army :_ We're doomed! We're doomed! But it ain't funny.

Hark at you. I'm all right Jack! Not the attitude to take young man. Its not supposed to be a means tested benefit. The more money circulating from the 'grey' pound the better for everybody.. Disappointing response. You must undergo training to correct your right wing tendencies.

Carbon offsetting is a con. Agreed. But re_ wilding is vital imo. The problem of smaller farmers being bought up by huge factory farmers is immense. Dairy farmers in particular are all being bought up by the big boys. Pig and chicken farming is the same. The goal is always cheap food for the consumer and lower welfare for the animals. Pile em high, fill em full of antibiotics and sell em cheap. The supermarkets are our enemy as well as our friend. One thing is certain. There's going to be more Covid like epidemics coming from birds, pigs and cattle which are intensively reared. And more lives

I'm there if there is one organised. I'll put my Wolfie parka on just for the occasion. I've just been reading what the pensions minister has to say. I thought she would be saying something like" difficult decisions, last thing we really wanted to do but..." Actually she said " there are plenty of wealthy pensioners who don't need it ". Which is akin to saying 'let them eat cake'.
  7. Definitely a "where were you moment?". I was passing a television on an Edinburgh St. At first I thought it was television wizardry...not real. But then realisation grew.

I don't think they do realise . They are so way 'out there' on a mission which apparently has no aims other than their own advancements. Reeves has already said further cuts are coming in the October budget. f**k's sake. There is nothing left to cut. I know, the roads budget, there's not enough pot holes.

Yes but people thought that a benefit brought in by Labour was part of our social wage. A right which reflected the problems that people face particularly in the colder North of the country. You are correct that it wasn't in the manifesto but it should have been. That way we would have known what we were voting for. They will have planned this way back but kept it quiet from us. I'm still scratching my head that a measure, which will cause so much worry and hardship to people, was the very first act of a Labour government. As for foreign aid, alot of it is designed with the donor
  10. I love the chill autumn winds, something exciting about them. This time of year we used to get the arrival of monster salmon 'greybacks'. Every time you put your line in the water you'd be full of adrenalin and anticipation. I've never caught one,but mates have caught them over 40 pounds. Then there's the pink foot geese heralding the arrival of autumn, with ferreting, long netting and lamping on the agenda. Wish we still had proper seasons instead of just endless rain.

Politicians love moral grandstanding on the world political stage whilst simultaneously kicking f**k out of their own people.

There's no party to vote for. And if there were it would be crushed by 'dark forces". We end up voting for what we think is the lesser evil. And then we realise we've been fooled. It will be interesting to see if any progress has been made in improving public services at the end of this Parliament. Blair and Brown did restore health and education spending to the level of other European nations. As a result outcomes for patients were as good as France and Germany. The same was true of Education spending.( Doubters check the figures) Let's see if Starmer and Reeves can match that.
  14. Tried em. No good. Hold pish for so long and then burst like balloons. Happened when I was on a hot date. Just going upstairs to bed and pop. All over her pink stair carpet. Bitch told me to f**k off. Oh well back to Tinder for the desperate.

If the tories had done it first Starmer would have been " furious" . He would have described it as a "moral outrage", and a " scandal". Źzzzzzzzzzzzzźzzz. All the major parties serve big business. Their aim is to maximise profit and minimise pay and public services. It's rich v poor and always has been. It's just more obvious to some of us now. Cutting pensions was an easy option because many of us will be dead come the next election and we have no power. Politicians in the UK have it easy because the rich own the media and continually and successfully divert attention

Aye load of bollocks. Can you get somebody to give you a hand with the form? It will be easy enough for somebody who's used to these things.88
  17. I'm just off the phone and told Bill what you said. He said: fucakan fi Highbridge. I'm going to k ock that %&#÷£ Koontz out. Needz to wash his dirty neck that black count. Last I heard 3 spelling teachers had taken him to court accusing them of causing them nervous breakdowns.
  18. Ya f****n Fw1 hybrid£%÷_ koont. Brek tha £%@×/_b!!!
  19. Speak for your f****n self. It was F1 hybrid this. Vigour this and take away the first number you began with. But yeah, you got the gist. And he knew how to keep and breed British finches
  20. Best comic thread I've read for a while. Remember the dyslexic lad, Billy Hardy, with the German shepherd half cross and mal cross? He was a good turn. Used to fall out with his shadow when triggered, especially Katchum. Always threatened to exchange postcodes. Comedy gold.
  21. Actually lads it's just occurred to me that am a complete hypocrite. I'm on holiday and staying in a holiday cottage right on a fishing harbour. Every second house is a holiday house. I'm paying silly money for the privilege and no doubt pricing out young locals. Exit with red face and apologies.
  22. It's the same in the Lake District and The Highlands There's got to be restrictions on second homes. It's immoral for young people to be forced away from their traditional areas so yuppies can live in a house a few weeks of the year.
  23. My mother used to get hyper when one of these were used: " watch your fingers! watch your fingers!". I've always thought she was over reacting but your story about your brother has made think again.
  24. I thought you meant one of these. I had a groundfloor flat which was part of a grand old house. My rental included a cellar where the servants did the laundry. I used to keep hens and pigeons in the cellar. The landlord wasn't greatly pleased. The copper boiler plus lid were still there in good condition. https://www.1900s.org.uk/copper-water-heater.htm
