  1. A mate of mine has the same TV set up as me and told me to tune in to channel 634 . I waited until my Mrs was sound asleep and tiptoed through to the living room and pressed 634. I'm not kidding it was f***ing DISGUSTING, REPULSIVE. It was kind of grainy and dark and all I could make out was this filthy old man with stained Y fronts with his dick in his hand. Turned my f****n stomach. Then I realised I hadn't turned the telly on.

If it was my kid I would try and help the him or her in whatever way I could. Not in favour of cross dressers using toilets other than the one they were biologically assigned to. I would have no problem if somebody wanted to be called he or she. No skin off my nose or anybody's nose.

Life is a broad church. I've met lots of people in my 75 years who don't fit the template. I don't believe in a one size fits all approach to people. Some of my favourite people are ' different ' or pursue different lifestyles. It's the good side of living in a relatively free society. I suspect the teacher wanted to present himself as Jesus's representive holding up the flame of virtue. Jesus as a historical figure definitely existed. I am a fan of his but I dont believe he was God. Jesus hung out with the poor, the prostitutes and the lepers. He wouldn't want that teacher thinking

Guilty on the atheist accusation. Well atheist/ agnostic. Marxist...nah. Firm believer in capitalism... enlightened, nordic style capitalistism is my huge preference. In answer to your question. I have already stated I am not in favour of medicine, hormone replacement or surgery. Further, I disagree with men using women's toilets, being sent to women's prisons or competing in women's sporting events. If a child or an adult has a psychological problem and wants to cross dress and be called a man or a woman then I think it's a form of medieval witchcraft to get judgemental about it

There's usually a middle way which is the option Tomo used where he worked. Nobody in their right mind is in favour of hormones, medication and surgery. But that's not the issue here. It's not his job to decide on the gender identification of particular individuals. Fred or Freda, his job is to teach children. No more no less. He's acting way beyond his job description. There's a person with breasts and a bit of a beard in my garden centre. The name on the shirt says Ken. I wouldn't address Ken as" they "or "them" as that's a plural term as CP has said. But I have no problem in usin
  6. Didn't catch it. Although I was in Salford visiting a relative in hospital. I saw a calvalcade of Liverpool supporters with their flags flying out of their car windows looking very pleased with themselves so I knew it wasn't good . The pundits on the radio going home were discussing Ten Haag's sacking. Doesn't look good for him or supporters.
  7. Yes but to continue a conversation when you are out of your depth just for your ego's sake is juvenile. I played in the 60s and 70s when times were very naive. I only ever deliberately fouled to stop an obvious goal and I was only ever deliberately fouled once. A guy elbowed me in the throat when we went for a high ball. Even then I had to be persuaded by my team mates that it was intentional. That's how simple and trusting I was. There was the odd threat and cussing but I always thought that detracted from the gentleman's game. I preferred to shake hands at the end of a game. So I gen
  8. I concede I don't know as much about the game as you. I played until my thirties but my role was to mark forwards, head the ball, boot the ball or pass very quickly. I struggled with control or footballing intelligence. That is, I didn't have a picture in my head of the whole pitch as lots of even amateur players do. You think more about the game than I am capable of. So with that miserable submission, I am out.
  9. I'm not so sure. For me it would depend on the defenders of the opposing team. Some defenders can be very effective but not particularly quick. In which case Messi might get the nod. The modern game also favours Messi because as soon as he's touched refs award a foul against him which they are less likely to do with a giant like Ronaldo.
  10. Yeah, the stats show Ronaldo had a higher scoring ratio than Shrek. But to be fair to him he does not pick up transgender street girls as R was famously caught for. Lol Messi has/ had a better ratio than both: a goal every 66 minutes. But then he did sell his soul to the devil. At least that's the only explanation I can come up with. These guys are some sort of athletic/ ball playing supermen. Here's a curve ball. Say we took a leaf out of Hitler's doctrine, kidnapped both Ronaldos, Shrek and Messi and set them to work siring as many kids to specially selected Amazonian women as po
  11. Fair. I know he is criticised by pundits and yourself for his poor work rate but 70 goals in 69 games is a helluva contribution to a team. Some players are so gifted they have special licence to do what they want as Ronaldo was at Utd. I've seen Ronaldo throw a few tantrums at Utd under Fergie which would not have been tolerated if they had been lesser mortals. No doubt he is destined for Madrid. At the end of his career his stats will be compared to the Brazilian Ronaldo and Messi. We will be able to judge then.
  12. Who knows mate? We performed brilliantly against them last season. It's very difficult to predict. Unfortunately I'll be travelling and will miss it. Might be for the best.lol
  13. Yes that's right about Ollie recommending him to Utd. Never mind we got Sancho from Arsenal instead.
  14. Haaland is some sort of mutant. Nobody should be that good. A top class striker scores a goal every two games. Haaland has now scored more goals than he has made appearances in the Premier league. He's a freak. He possesses a perfect temperament, you couldn't instil or coach that ability. He wins games by himself and scores with a superior grin on his face. If he stays serious injury free, substance free and blood sucking WAG free, he can only smash all records. He was born in England too. Pity he couldn't be persuaded to play for his country of birth.

There aren't many artists who don't cite them as major role models/ influences.
  16. There's time yet for Guehi. The night is young. Time yet for Palace to climb down? Perhaps there's one or two surprises to come in this window. As a Man U sufferer I'm disappointed we've let both Wan Bissaka and Mctominay leave. Both really solid performers. I'd love Lindelof and Anthony to go. I'd take any offer for either . We would only recoup a fraction of the eighty million we paid for Anthony and Lindelof could go on a free as far as I'm concerned.
  17. He throws a few curve balls, but never left field.lol
  18. Agreed. But Jenrick is as blatant as Bojo. He really is bent. Anyway, back to football. I see toon have offered 35 million for Elanga of Nottingham Forest. Yet another example of Man U's complete incompetence with regard to business dealings. Man U sold him for 15 million! Every deal we make bleeds us dry. I hope the new brown at Utd sweeps clean. It can't go on. Can it?
  19. I guess as an outsider lookin in, Hall has been good for NUFC. However he did preside over the sacking of the highly competent, absolute gentleman and genuine working class hero, Bobby Robson. He was in cahoots with bag _of_ shit Shepherd and gave the manager's job to Souness: another very unsavoury character imo. Jenrick's career is punctuated by dodgy dealings and wonky expenses. Famously, he tried to push through a housing application by awarding a contract to his tory mate. The decision was challenged and the courts found him........ the tory Housing Minister, to have acted with

    Smoking.

Starmer received 3 million less votes than Corbyn. He only got in because of the Reform and Liberal votes. He supposed to be pursuing this on the advice of Chris Witty of Covid fame. I'd like to see the stats concerning the risk of disease from inhaling tobacco smoke in the open air. The ban on smoking in a confined space and not subjecting children to smoke are sensible imo. But this seems like political hari kari . The same as cutting the state pension. I think Starmer must have a degree in pissing people off. However he'll be gambling on the public forgetting these new laws before the
