MMA isn't bare knuckle is it? I didn't mention bare knuckle. I didn't mean to upset you Greb/Dutch. I know a lot of young men are fascinated by Lennie M .

Keepdiggin, imo, these street/prison legends are only fit to hold the coats of pro boxers or MMA fighters. A few have appeared in the pro ring, Sykes and Bronson for example, but were soundly beaten. Let's face it those two had/ have big mental health problems. McLean and Shaw could never have cut it if they fought genuine boxers of equal weight. From what I've seen on YouTube, they were very poor in the ring. The same is true of gypsy gobshites on YouTube. I genuinely think a lot of those guys must be retarded. I don't buy " the cobbles" is different to the ring. Boxers can fight as

I didn't know that. No wonder he put up such a poor performance against Hagler. As far as street hard, spiteful boxers go, I would rate Joshua, Dubois and Joyce as pussycats compared to most half decent heavyweights of the past. They are more Audrey Harrison than Sonny Liston.?

Bent decisions...Teddy Atlas sums it up in this brilliant rant. They should make him president.

I think what made street hardened fighters/ boxers of old was poverty. People are over parented and over protected now. The city slums in the UK,Mexico and the US bred some mean feckers. I could add a few to your list above. Terry Downes,Brian London, Conteh, Minter,Jim Watt Ken Buchan. Men you dont mess with. With the odd exception, most boxers of yesteryear were born into poverty. I remember Irish welterweight, Eamon McGee saying he could have two fights just going to and from the shop for his mother. That's the way it was. In poor areas, violence in the family, in the street, at

What's the chances of a testosterone fuelled tear up at Highbury when Utd come to town? Probably not much chance, those days are gone. I don't buy in to the belief that Aresenal are shoe ins for the title though. There's a long way to go yet. I take my hat off to Arsenal and Newcastle but its early days. For me City are still favourites. They have the best squad and the best manager. Interesting times.

I prefer Landudno, all inclusive, coronary and chips every meal. Bracing sea air and a sighting of poverty porn every day. Tennents lager on tap. Whoo hoo. Eat your heart out Bond. Yes we know who you are Mackem 007. Your cover is blown.

My recollection is that Usyk's stamina is second to none, which is surprising given the mesmerising movement he shows during his fights. You said yourself it was Joshua who was " fatigued" in the last round of their second fight. I suspect you are a Russian sleeper spy determined to undermine Ukraine by rubbishing Usyk. Putin will have you locked up in a salt mine when your cunning plan becomes unstuck
-
Usyk has had 20 contests, 20 wins, 13 by way of knockout. He's half a stone heavier than Wilder. He can bang when the time is right.

I was so near to giving you a like and then you fecked up with your enviro left wing comment lol.

Sorry I thought you were on about Fury v Chishora 3. That was a ritual beating, a sad night for british boxing imo. I didn't watch that out of principle. I don't agree Usyk 'runs'. He has brilliant footwork. Agreed if he stood toe to toe with a bigger man he would eventually be knocked out. But that's not what boxing is about. Was Ali a runner? Sugar Ray Robinson? Sugar Ray Leonard? Appreciating a boxer who can dance, feint, confuse his opponent, hit and move that's what boxing is about for me. I can appreciate a well executed knock out punch. But I prefer to see an evenly matched

I didn't watch it mate. It was a ritual beating. Check the judges' scores.

Same with sefer Seferi, the opponent he picked up and cuddled at the weigh in.lol

I remember in the late sixties I had a God awful job but paid well. It was emptying iron filings from a pit. The filings were encrusted on the walls and you had to pick and shovel them out of the pit and then climb a ladder with them in a sack. The temperature was in the nineties and the filings got in your eyes, your ears your private parts etc. It was hell. A black Zimbabwean workmate said to me" this jobs not fit for a f***ing nigger". I replied " how do you think that makes me feel, I'm white, master race". We both laughed but it wouldn't have worked if I had delivered my line fir

Well you can' t claim for a new vehicle or new tools. Or fuel or work clothes etc under PAYE. But you still have the same outgoings. One of my kids had a friend he'd grown up with. They both went to uni together. His dad was literally a multimillionaire, a farmer. His lad got a full grant courtesy of a creative accountant. My lad got next to nowt even though I earned a fraction of the farmer.
-
I've been self employed and PAYE. Imo PAYE is worse. You get ripped off left right and centre and no appeal. With self employed you get an an accountant to help. No such help with PAYE.

I'll try. You are Irish. If a fellow Irish man joked about donkeys, being thick, getting shafted by the local priest..all the Irish insults, you would laugh it off. If I came across to your part of the world and came out with the same crap, I would expect a crack on the nose. Jewish people joke about the concentration camps. Only a complete non jewish c**t would joke about the death camps to a Jew. Its context and situation and being comfortable with the person you are talking to.

I'm English by birth and accent but have lived in Scotland most of my adult life. I've been called English b*****d, c**t, white settler etc thousands of times. When I go back to England, people detect a Scots accents and give me similar abuse. That's humour. No problem. I would get really angry if I was denied a job or a house or my wife and kids were insulted. That's never ever happened, so I have no problem with a bit of banter. When people get arsy over nothing, that's when the problems begin.
-
I agree with that.A black guy can say "what up nigga"? And that's not a problem. If a white guy said that to a black guy, the black guy would feel insulted.I can't see why people can't understand that.
-
I'm generally on the side of society's whipping boys, but for the life of me, I can't understand why 'Paki' is a racist term. I have said to Pakistanis why do you get offended by an abbreviation? No logical answer.
-
I'm a leftie, I'd rather go to jail than vote tory, I get it in the neck all the time on here. There are people who have mixed race kids on here, they get insulted, which is way out of order. You need a thick skin, it's the nature of the Internet. I don't disagree with you, it's just THL.
-
When Dido gets on a roll mate, everybody gets it in the neck. Don't take it to heart, he's harmless.

Spat my rum toddy out. Twat!

Just be grateful theres no prima noctur these days, peasant.

Agreed, by some conjuring trick, the "levelling up" pot seems to go to the richer areas. The poor areas are continually dumped on.
