It wa a clip on YouTube. He got a standing ovation in parliament. But that was 2 weeks ago and they've done sweet nothing. It's just grandstanding. From what I can make out Erdoğan is pretty tame despite his rhetoric.

Erdoğan has stated in parliament that his country would not be prepared to watch the annihilation of Palestinians. The middle east is always a powder keg ready to blow. Much more so now. So many potential players with different agendae.

You can't join a forum and ask a rhetorical question. That's not the way it works. I've just googled 'Corbyn Hamas' and he said 3 times in an interview that he condemns all attacks in Israel. ALL attacks therefore including Hamas. If you don't want to get into a discussion with me don't respond to my posts.

Any sane person left or right wants an end to bloodshed. I don't agree the left never question Hamas's. inhumanity. How many left wing sources do you read? I'm sure Mick Lynch, Scargill and my little self consider Hamas to be butchers. No ifs no buts. I said at the start of this thread Hamas or whoever perpetrated the attacks did no favours whatsoever to the Palestinian people.

I am no expert or sage as is obvious. But I pick my side when I try and work out who is the bully and who is the underdog. Seems to me that Israel was an artificial creation and has been backed by the powerful countries ever since.. Israel treats the Palestinians like nazis.

Well you wrote it in the past. I think you would have to be deliberately blinkered to consider there was no relationship between Islamic terrorism and western forces involvement in oil wars.

We have both agreed in the past that the illegal conflict in Iraq and other very dodgy wars in the Middle east( Libya and Afghanistan) which have killed hundreds of thousands of non combatants has riled up Muslims. Ultimately a lot of Islamic terror boils down to Bush and Blair. Before you jump down my throat. That statement is not intended as an excuse for Islamic terror incidents in this country. Or any other country.

Stop being tabloid and hysterical. The number of Palestinian casualties far outweighs the number of Jewish casualties in this conflict and for the past 50 years. It's not me that's callous mate. You are the one who advocated killing babies in case they later end up over here. You can't see past colour. You believe your DNA to be inherently superior to other races. Scotland does not own its oil because the UK make damned sure they don't. Plus Thatcher sold off the North Sea oil and gas to her friends in big business instead of keeping it as a national asset.

I don't agree with any of your points.Lol. No change there. I think the march went well and the police were spot on in their initial decision to allow it. I dont believe a single individual disrespected the cenotaph or the occasion. Its the way democracy works. No sane person would want to be in a tent this time of year surely? Scotland would be one of the richest countries in Europe if it kept its own oil. Zzzzzzz. We could go on all night.

Personally I think it more appropriate they pay their respects in the capitals of the countries they are head of. It's what Devolution is all about. They were there. I checked. On the broader front. Here's my sixpenceworth on yesterday's events. Firstly, there were no riots. A bit of pushing and shoving. But everybody was completely silent at 11 o' clock.
