You should see the life Bradley's get in factories. I worked in lots of places where grown men would relentlessly bully retarded or simple people. I worked in a dye works where this bloke who was thick as f**k, was employed to wash dye measuring vessels in a sink. A good number of the guys would throw their dirty vessels in the sink so as to deliberately splash this lad. All f****n day splash, splash , splash in his face. He never complained. He did not have a bad bone in his body. His chief persecutor was a bloke not much cleverer than him. And I told him to lay off. He ignored me so I starte

True about The Sourbonne and the Ivy league unis. India is a very backward country . But I still maintain there is more entrenched class bias in the UK than in France and the States. I was reading today that even when doing the same jobs for the same employer people from working class backgrounds earn on average 6 grand less. That can only be snobbery based on background, accent and class origin. You can't in fairness, legislate for the abolition of the public school system but you could broaden out their inclusivity and open them up to all kids on merit if parents want them to g

Don't agree. Life is unfair but those things we can change to stop inherent unfairness should be done. The buzzword in the sixties was 'meritocracy'. And I agree with that. At the moment we have a deeply divided society created by rigid class barriers founded on the public school system. It's not like that in other European advanced economies, especially the Nordic countries where social class is not such a big deal and there aren't such divisions between haves and have nots. These divisions spill over into health, housing and even longevity. It's victorian. We need to learn fro

No,not in favour of grammar schools for all the usual left reasons. Stabbed for trainers?" Where and when did that happen? I would wager a lot of thuggery goes on in the private sector but it is kept from the scrutiny of the press. Middle class crime especially financial crime is generally well hidden I don't think my post was particularly politically left. I was just pointing out the inherent unfairness of kids from private school competing on an uneven playing field. This is acknowledged by all sides in the debate and has recently begun to be addressed. I'm genuinely not b

I am uneasy about private education. No surprise there. But leaving aside the politics, kids who go to minor private schools don't get the same breadth of education as comprehensive kids . Small and medium private schools can't afford to employ the same range of subject specialists as a local authority school can. Anecdotal, but a guy I used to shoot with sent his kids to a local private school and regretted it. His kids weren't academic and the school did not teach practical subjects. He felt in hindsight that his kids lost contact with their old friends and were intimidated by the real wor

It's the same with you and me mate. The Chuckle brothers.

I think a lot of the woke stuff is paper talk. My kids got a good deal at their local comp were happy and got into good unis. Above all, they got to stay at home in a happy family unit. Better than sticking kids in boarding schools imo.

I was working for a bloke who did maintenance at weekends in factories: he would employ electricians, painters, joiners, painters, cleaners , labourers etc. I was his kind of right hand man. So I thought I could set up on my own. When I tendered for a contract I would exaggerate and blag. My first break was given to me a bloke who dealt with tenders for a big firm. I produced a CV and a price and pestered him non stop. Eventually he said to me, " look if you get the job it will be on merit and price and don't insult me by offering me any sweeteners." I eventually got that tender and many mor

My son is in that world. Got a good degree from an old university and other qualifications. Works from home. Gets treated with respect from his employers and gets paid 6 figures a year. As does his partner. Its a different world. Keep expecting my payback soon from him..not happening. Not really lol, I really enjoyed being a dad it was the best time of my life. It was easy advising ..don't be a plonker like me.

Im guessing progressing from the shop floor would have been much more difficult if you had stayed in the UK? You generally need to have been from the right background to do that in the UK.

Furys last opponent was fitter than Fury and as big as him. He couldn't tire him in the clinches.

I auditioned for porn star but got rejected. I asked for some feedback and got pages and pages. Penis comically small, premature ejaculation and too much slavering from my mouth. At least I tried.

I think you would have to ask tatblisters because he made the point and he was a miner. Nobody is happy with the way the rape and torture of British children by primarily Pakistani grooming gangs was handled or the punishments received by the abusers. If I had still been working and a general strike was called to address the mass torture properly, I would have supported it without a doubt. If the unions had gone on strike and said 'enough is enough we will return to work when these b*****ds are locked up for life or deported' then Britain might feel better about itself. The government would ha

I wish I'd had a proper education and been able to actually choose a career. But your life is just like a raft on an ocean and you beach up wherever the raft dumps you. I would like to have to have served my time as a brickie and started my own business. I've worked with brickies who were able to say "I built that" or "I worked on that project". It must be quite satisfying to actually create something.
-
I agree to an extent. But you said yourself if the mining union was still strong then Maybe the Rotherham child rape cases would have been stopped in its tracks. I don't have a problem with unions becoming involved in politics. Everything is about power and politics. IMO when the unions lost their power wages and conditions and respect for working people went backwards in this country. There's always been a huge class divide between unions and employers in the UK. In many countries they are seen positively by employers and they work together. Take the rail strike now. The government is

Non ped whippet mate. I didn't know he was equally good on straights. His owner gave up racing soon after Indian Joe retired and went into racing pigeons. I'm guessing because once you've had the best everything is down hill from then on.

I'm amazed at how young people are obsessed with phones, tik tok, computer games etc. It's though they cut themselves off from reality. I was held up by roadworks yesterday and there was a young lad flipping a Stop Go sign. He let a convoy of cars go by and then became occupied on his phone. Eventually I beaped him and he had a quick look at the situation, flipped his sign and went back to his phone.
-
I'm not getting an argument. It's pointless. But it does seem strange to me that neither side have a party which truly represents their tribe. Which leaves us all disenfranchised.
-
I've seen Indian Joe run. He was one of those fabled creatures which could catch a hare or two in the morning and piss a race at night. He had an uncanny ability to hug bends. A real legend.

Seems to me most people who vote tory would really like to see Farage as leader of the party. He's the man with the policies they identify with. Its exactly the same for Labour voters. They really identify with Lynch and not with the university educated, slick salesmen in the the Labour Party who pretend to represent the working class. Seems to me a vote would be very, very close which shows how deeply divided Britain has become and it seems strange that grassroots voters on both sides aren't getting the leadership they crave. It would be very interesting. If we can't hav

When you mentioned him the other day in a negative way, I looked him up but I couldn't find any dirt on him. He seemed straight up, even put his expenses in the window of his constituency office for everybody to see. Did he become 'one of them' when he was elected?
-
I would like to see Mick Lynch as leader of the Labour Party. I honestly think Labour would win a landslide if he were leader. There's a scenario... a general election with Farage as Tory leader and Lynch as the Labour leader.
-
Thats the problem with the Labour Party . Most of the MPs have never worked in a 'proper' job and were brought in a cosy middle class lifestyle. They couldnt relate to working people even if they wanted to. I don't know why the unions still contribute to the Labour Party coffers because they get nothing out of it.

Cheers mate . I've been attending a free writing course at tech college . Young female teacher, very posh totty, says I am top of the class. Looking forward to becoming the milk monitor. And got eyes on being a prefect.
