f**k me. Role reversal tonight mate. You sound like me when I am pontificating. Lol. I don't hate the jerries any more. I remember reading All Quiet on the Western Front. I'm disappointed at CP fraternising with the jerries. Don't you know there's a war on? Im glad you gave him newcie brown.. horrible stuff. I remember a clerk of works called Wolfgang ( nicknamed gangbang) many moons back. Germany had beaten us in an important game and he asked me how I had enjoyed the game. So I replied 'yeah , gloat all you want, but we won the war'. He got really upset, like I had deliberately farted in church. He avoided eye contact and conversation with me months. It was only a joke! I think the jerries have a policy of 'don't mention the war!'

I lived in Stoke in the early 70s and used to watch Stoke City regularly . Hurst was a decent striker but he was past his best when he came to Stoke. At West Ham he was a one in two games scorer. At Stoke he was one in three. Greatest of respect to the bloke for his hat trick,but I dont think he could have made the transition to the modern game. I believe Bobby Charlton,Bobby Moore Martin Peters and Gordon Banks would have thrived though. Good to see Hurst is healthy and has still got his marbles at eighty odd.

As a fan of football, the only negative feeling I have for Newcastle is the sacking of Bobby Robson by ace shithouse Shepherd. One of the greatest managers in the world sacked by a complete shithouse. Shame. I had a lot of time for Robson as a manager,England manager and human being. But as he said : That's football".

I lived a stone's throw from Old Trafford when I was a kid. We all knew the score on a match day from the roar of a goal being scored, even when it was just the reserves playing. It was great. It gave us all identity and cohesion. I used to like the ships in the docks sounding their foghorns at the start of new year as well. All the ships,fom all over the world celebrating the same event. Brilliant.

Your mates could have got a gunsmith to hold them for him until the paperwork was sorted. My son moved house and whilst he was between two addresses he signed the guns over temporarily. Its a common arrangement.

Yes. Partially correct. Although if you had read my post carefully , you would understand that it was an event which I reflected on to amuse myself and others. Not to appear a tough guy. I stated that I had been one -two'd because I was a 19 year old boy with mouth and attitude. It wasn't a fight. I was reading about the bolsheviks banning borzois because they were associated with the tsars. It reminded me of a borzoi I used to walk for a woman when I was a kid. She was a dog hoarder and her house stunk of dog piss. The air in her house floated with dog hair and dust from their coats.The other dogs were too wild to walk, but this dog, 'George' used to wait for me at the door at 5 ish. There was a fella on here imported a dog from Oz. It looked like a thick set deerhound . He said it tracked and and held and did not pursue any other game. Totally wedded to pigs. I asked him to let me know if it ever sired a litter but he didnt. Another member on here approached him to serve a bitch but I don't know if a matingn ever took place. I had a deerhoundy bitch which was only interested in big game. Turned her nose up at anything other than what she was bred for. I'm only going on what he said.

Dubois ran out of self belief. He wasn't that hurt, but he was grateful the ref called it off. A true fighter would rather be carried out rather than quit. But imo Dubois quit. He quit when he had an eye fracture against Joyce and I thought that was sensible, but I know others thought it was unacceptable. Joshua also quit against Ruiz imo. Aj is great at beating up lesser opposition but he doesn't like it when he gets a punch in the mouth. You can see the fear in his eyes. Both are not the real deal. Overpaid and overated.

There have been boar dogs imported to the UK. Amazes me how they focus on one prey animal when there are enticing smells of deer, fox, hare etc. I suppose its the same with foxhounds. They can run-through sheep and stay focused on fox...in theory. Working boar dogs here would be strictly under the radar.
