Craic is this; I pay €30.00 to get a taxi to the opticians. Then, I pay the opticians €30.00 to test my eyes and let me pick some cheap, plastic frames. They then send my form off to the health service. Ages later, long after the opticians ring me, to say my glasses are waiting, I get that form back, from the HS.     Funny as ye should mention that. Because, as I was grumping, to the taxi driver, about how much all this was costing me, in fares alone ..... I pointed out how it cost me €100.00 to get to the hospital. He concurred that he was aware of how I couldn't handle a train. That a bus would be as bad, for me. I've since probably spent about as much, on corner shop 'Reading Glasses' as I have in taxi fares to get these amazing eyes back. You're patently a good few years younger than me.     Cute things, Tufts. They always tend to peep away quietly, in ye hand I can't find a damn thing about this yellow on the head thing though. Wonder about that. I must say, I prefer my birds pure ~ rather than mules or hybrids. But, some of these colour mutations are pretty cool. I've even seen shots of genuine, wild redpolls with large areas of snowy white plumage! Absolutely stunning birds! Oddly enough; Breed one like it and I wonder if it would get a look in at a show?

    Here, Fireman! I've just caught another one. This one Was a female ~ she had the beginnings of a brood patch. Nice to see she had Golden feathers in her head red too. Really quite a few of them.
