You can do that where you are,I'd just recommend if you decide to give it a go you don't tell anyone. Because to you it's frog hunting and eating your catch,to anyone else it's a middle aged man catching frogs in his garden and eating them!

I do a few miles with the lurcher of a morning usually. I looked after a mini bull terrier a while ago,she looked better than any other dog I've had with a few miles on the bike and a decent diet,in terms of looks far better than any staff type I've known.

I've been told by a few people a lot of the Mali's cover up for a lack of nerve with all that prey drive. But they're not all that bad,people do keep them even working line ones as pets,you got to bare in mind that a lot of the ones intended for work are brought up from being pups in a way that encourages them to behave VERY differently to a normal dog. And you can get similar results with other breeds,if you treat them the same way. -

If I had with me every dog I've owned in it's prime,at the same time I wouldn't slip them. I reckon it could be done doubled up with the right dogs,but it'd be messy and dangerous and the 'right dogs' would have to bred for that job imo

Is the ACD not a popular lurcher x over there? I don't think I've ever even seen a pure one let alone a x,so have no idea about them. used a lot in pig dog crosses ( scrub nose dogs) not so much in dogs for speed the kelpie is a better option for that. I have put a few of my old acd x bull up in posts on here. couple of acd crosses here, and a nice deerhound grey up the back the cream coloured one. But it's certainly being pushed hard in the media,I don't usually watch TV but have done recently,most the reports say 'suspected chemical attack',but they're not even entertaining the idea it was anyone but Assad. Yes I know I've tried. A screenshot is not using the camera though. Honest to God I rang and rang and he answered once and hung up after a second. I messaged him twice and no reply, I sat about like a prick waiting for him. I even ran down the final fcuking furlong hoping to see him, guess What? Sweet fcuk all.... They descend from different types of wolves too. http://www.caninest.com/types-of-wolf/ If you look for the Ethiopian wolf it's believed sighthounds originate from them,but then you get collies racier than them who probably descend entirely from the much bigger and more powerfully built grey wolf,so selective breeding probably comes into it. Dogs that guard and are a bit quicker and don't range too far will be more valued and live longer,they'd probably eat the useless ones.

I could tell you some tales of our first dog, maybe he was an exception to the rule as I haven't seen another Akita like him before. Rotties, Dobies, Shepherds, Staff, Wolfhound and Mastiff have all been in the wrong place at the wrong time with him. If you've got that sort of dog,it's you in the wrong place not them,genuine accidents aren't that common if you apply some common sense.
