My dogs (not digging dogs) live outside,although they have been socialised well I'd never trust any dog unattended around very young children like mine.

there's no point in getting a dog just to yap since they've already stolen a terrier which i'm assuming won't have gone quietly. if you're going to get a dog that will bite make sure it's trained properly by someone who knows what to do.

Does anyone know of any portable lights/lamps that have a long life? It's for my shed that has no electricity but would also be handy to have a couple about in case the power went off again.

I'm very glad it's not illegal for a dog to bite someone on private property,if they set that precedent dogs would be getting destroyed and their owners taken to court for biting burglars. I wouldn't own a dog that bit a kid (would get put to sleep),but if a child got into my yard and got bit i wouldn't apologies. parents need to show more responsibility.
