  1. i think it's better they're not made martyrs, not to mention they need to be alive to tell us their contacts. they can always die painful death out of the public eye.
  2. All I'd say is make sure the yard is really secure, pups can get through small gaps and as a adolescent anything less than 6 foot will be easy for any lurcher to escape from. Good luck with the pup.
  3. that thread that p3d put up about kennells was a good one there's a couple of good threads, but it would be good to sticky a few simple set ups at the top,and get reviews on decent suppliers since it seems there seems to be so many unreliable ones out there.
  4. this site really could do with a kennel/animal housing sub section imo
  5. the police will respond to pretty much all 101 calls round here, they can't be seen to do nothing anymore. if it was in any way urgent they would of been a lot quicker, invite them in and be friendly. you're in the right mate so be completely open about everything would be my advice.
  6. Exactly. Just feed it more kibble. Dogs get bored of kibble though and some will stop eating it,that's why I put lard or gravy in with the extra when they're working harder or it gets cold. I've never fed bread before but to play devils advocate I think dogs would have evolved to eat grain, since that's what we eat,and they will have had many more generations to adapt to the diet.
  7. It's a vicious cycle,an addict/retard has loads of kids young and raises them to have that same sponging,anti-social mentality. The saddest part is I'd bet a lot of those kids could have made something of their lives but never will.
  8. Just feed it more dry food,if it won't eat any more put some gravy and lard in with it.

    Labradors

Are guide dogs from working lines usually? I think they usually look like pet bred ones and the chocolate pet labs will have been bred just for the colour disregarding health and temperament IMO.
  10. Does she like tennis balls etc? If so while its summer and the grass is long star playing fetch in it,I keep it in with their dry food to keep some smell on it. Anyway you will be able to guide the dog to the ball/toy if they're struggling, and when the season starts he will have learnt to look to you to help find things, put her on a few rabbits she can't see but you can and she should start looking to you more. That's what's worked for me anyway.
  11. Yeah the whippet xs I've had have known how to stay comfortable.
  12. does the whippet do ok in the wet and cold?I done some survival training late last year and one of the lads on the course brought his lurcher and it didn't like the cold at all, ended up sleeping in the car on the last night.
  13. This bitch is apparently a good worker, but take her out for a walk when the crops cut and she'll eat her body weight in rats lol
  14. what could a Labrador catch to eat? Mines.....................well rabbits, mice and moreenough rabbits to keep it going in a rough winter?
  15. what could a Labrador catch to eat?
  16. but could they survive a very cold winter up your way?
  17. yeah mine too lol. What makes me ask is a mates boss has a littles springer bitch that pretty much lives wild all summer, they have loads of land and it disappears for 4-5 days at a time.
  18. Do you think if all people just dissappeared your dog or dogs would survive? I've got a lurcher and terrier that won't go to ground so I rekon they'd get by together, they can both catch rabbits and I'm sure they'd have managed hare and the smaller deer pre-ban.
  19. I think our small island being so overpopulated has more serious consequences than there not being enough bunnies to go around lol
  20. I think people are more likely to be gay if they grow up thinking it's ok,their agenda is being pushed everywhere you look.
  21. We don't mix, they need cruel and barbaric governments to keep them in line, not relatively liberal ones like ours.
  22. I think the moral of the story for me is get insurance,Nhs just gives a false sense of security.
  23. Anyone here ever used it? How much faster did everything go than you'd expect with the nhs? I've been waiting nearly 3 months to get an MRI and the results now got to wait 2 months for op,recovery time is 6 months so by the time I have the op I could have already had it and almost recovered by now.
  24. People in general are scared of them,I'd bet if it went to vote they'd be banned completely.
  25. Yeah silly thing to do,but looking at it objectively he filmed his dogs doing the most natural thing in the world and it's landing him in prison.wtf is the world coming to
