Check that there's an air break in the grey pipe from the back of the washing machine. That U shaped guide that most people discard needs to be fitted and needs to be as close to the underside of the worktop as possible. This is a common cause of smells. I doubt you've got syphonage issues unless your house is 4 storeys or taller. Don't tape up the standpipe serving the washing machine or any other openings within the system because you'll create air locks and the waste water won't run away properly. A trap that is filled with water will prevent smells without the need for any tape or cloths b

You can't beat a Russell. Good video.

The banned text is M 8!!!! lol!!

Ben, London's a big place. Which part are you in?

I use M10 hexnuts. They do the job. I've got some [BANNED TEXT]'s which I use from a small Holly fork with single strands of Dankung 17/45, I've killed a couple of pigeons with headshots with [BANNED TEXT]'s and light tubes. I found M12's too heavy for me but Rascal-2005 uses them and has had some kills with his TBG set up.

That's my young bitch. She's from no line in particular. Her sire wins a few shows and does well in the terrier racing. She's not done much but works above and below ground.

I've got some on my camera which I'll post tomorrow. They're only shots of the dogs mooching about though. There was no way in the world that I was going to stand there taking action shots while the rats rained down on me!!! The one that leapt onto the peak of my cap certainly got my heart pumping. I had to take my clothes off outside when I got home. There was insulation, rat droppings and nesting material all the way down, from my neck to my socks.

You think a dog runs only one way? The dog has to jog back. Also at a 200 yard slip the dog is gunna be running at least 300 yard..So 10 x 300 yard = 2 mile or thereabouts...20 x 300 = 4mile or thereabouts...then factor in like i said..coming back....thats some distance. You're right, it is some distance and it's a lot of work for a dog. There's plenty of dogs that can do it, there's plenty of dogs who's owners never give them the chance to try and there's plenty of dogs that get chucked out of a motor after the quarry's been chased down for 20 minutes. I've got a running dog, so that's w

If Deerhounds Aren't What They Were
kranky replied to No eye deer's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
I don't think it's right to mention a Borzoi. Let's stick to working deerhounds and their x's. The speed of the stride is relative to the distance of that stride. A lot of people believe the frantic stride of a small dog to be propelling that dog faster than the long slow stride of a big dog. That's not the case. People who've actually worked big dogs or have seen them work know all about speed. I wonder how many Waterloo Cup entrants were 23". If you can get hold of a fast non ped whippet, bring it down and we'll have a few long runs. You'll see the difference then. -
If you had half a brain then people might be able to understand what you're trying to say. Try, very slowly, to say what you want and I'll answer you. What is your issue?

If Deerhounds Aren't What They Were

Nice dogs and some decent photos. Is the big dog the 29" bitch and the 2 smaller rough dogs the 23" DH blooded animals? The photo doesn't seem to show that big a difference in size, maybe it's the angle. I still say there's no way your 23" dogs would keep up with my 30" dog. He'd leave them behind after 5 strides and continue to pull away. That's no criticism of your dogs, it's just physics. Granted a smaller dog looks faster but side by side the difference is clear. -
What??? I never said I slipped at 400 yards, read it properly. But, historically, when we used to be able to lamp foxes, you'd often find that your quarry would hold position until the dogs were near. Usually only running as the dogs became silhouetted in the beam. It's a shame you never got to experience running the big stuff as you'd have known that. Damn this bloody ban!!! it is a shame its a shame ive done enough lamping to no 400yrd slips dnt happen to often, as for big stuff Ive never caught nothing bigger than a rabbit lol Who said 400 yard slips were normal? I never even said

If Deerhounds Aren't What They Were

big uns can be extremely functional if they are proportioned correctly, but I disagree with your comment "without height they aint deerhound types". If they have deerhound in them, they are deerhound types, with or without height.. I have two 23" deerhound types, whose ancestors are pictured in birddog's post, I also had a 29" first cross bitch, all of these, in my eyes are deerhound types. I'm of the opinion that a deerhound type needs to have some height to it. I'd be sorely disappointed if a deerhound x only reached 23". With the greatest respect, and I'm sure your 23" dogs are fan -
No worries mate. I'll have a spare primary that's no good for imping from your HH. As long as the quill isn't broken, I'll make a fishing float out of it. You can bring it down with you whenever you get a chance to come. That's a fair swap.

I'll get them off to you tomorrow or Saturday. I'll send them recorded or similar. Don't worry about any money,

I try to tell people dub dub is no good I know ive tried it ... And I am not trying to sell any other type of elastic lol It's the power of the internet Micckey. The bloke that started promoting this stuff and called it Dub Dub had only just started shooting catties himself. He started his own forum and set himself up as some sort of expert, along with another bloke and people believed him. You only have to shoot Dub Dub for 5 minutes to see it's failings, like its inability to retain any power if held at full draw for more than a split second and its rapid wear rate. However, the

I'll get some more off to you. They're probably held up in a sorting office or sitting on a bemused postmans coffee table with all of his other booty.

That's quality! Good work, I made a couple for J1985 and his brother in law which are really similar. Have your bands not arrived yet? I posted them before I posted the fork.

He's done it to promote some Zombie film he's making. A catapult ball can't rebound off of a target faster that it got there. It's fake.

Why not carry a silver blanket? I've got 2 in my first aid kit. They'll work better than any wetsuit and you don't know that you're carrying them.

My First Attempt At A Natural Fork
kranky replied to day worker's topic in Catapult & Slingshot Hunting
That's a nice fork. Well done. Tubes get the job done, I've used tubes for years and still have a couple of frames rigged with them. -
How much do you want for it? What size is the gun? Is it a muzzle or breach loader?

If Deerhounds Aren't What They Were
kranky replied to No eye deer's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
I think those of you wanting to reduce the size to 26 or 27" max and want to add collie blood are missing the point of these dogs. Formalising a working type is fine but it may end up like the Plummer Terrier with two groups. One promoting the taller dogs and the other with the smaller dogs. I make no apologies for being in the taller dog camp, as that's what I've had and know and I've never found them wanting. -

Mine doesn't win shows and won't chase a lure but he pays for his keep. He can be at top speed within 5 strides. So he can run anywhere.
