  1. lol twat You'd have to be on drugs to want one!
  2. As form 101 is used to apply for Section 1 firearms it is a little pointless and unnecessary to write section one 12 bore, as is detailing self loading when the form clearly states action type is not required. All one needs to apply for is a 12 bore shotgun. You put high capacity shotgun and you also state whether a pump or a semi auto. Your ticket will say semi or pump.
  3. looks the image of my od dhx kranky but mine was a 3/4 grey 1/4 dh..i wi try put a pic up some time... Be nice to see a photo. This is the only photo that I've got of the pup at the moment. He's the spitting image of his dad at that age.
  4. Cheers, he's my mate and a nice dog to have around.
  5. Yeah he's my black dog 30". This is an old picture, I think he's about 18 months here. The bitch is with the pups, she's rough coated and grey and about 26". She's got more of a coat than my dog. Her owners not on here and I won't pup a photo up without his consent.
  6. A DH x GH bitch from our friend in hunt service. I'm picking up my pup this weekend.
  7. There's some pups ready to go at the moment out of my 3/8 x 5/8 dog. It all depends what you want. Do you want to cross it with a whippet?
  8. When a Deerhound is working there's plenty of drive there. They'll run game for longer because they've got the wind and drive. The laid back nature that people refer to is usually around the house and not in the field. For years and years Deerhound X lurchers were used for fox, hare and deer and were not found wanting. A Deerhound X without drive isn't the norm and would only be kept by those that have listened to the opinions of the ill informed and believe that is how they should be. Whippets should be of a similar temperament, gentle around the house but ready to go when working. They
  9. There's a few fellas near you who can come to your permission and help you out. Do you have a dog?
  10. Isn't the reduction in height enough? Someone who wants the deerhound temperament, feet and coat but smaller? Surely you can get that from other crosses beddy, collie? I don't think you can get the deerhound temperament in beddy or collie mate. No you can't but you get pretty close to it in a Whippet. As everyone knows, there's no guarantee as to what coat or feet you'll get. The pups could throw to the whippet and then what have you got?
  11. It'd be interesting to hear a first hand account from someone who's owned one and not stories of other peoples dogs. You lose the point of a deerhound lurcher when you bring the size down. I'm sure those who ran dogs before the ban and before the bull x generation will understand. If you want a small rabbiting dog with a rough coat then there's loads of breeds to choose from but a deerhound isn't one of them. What does whippet blood bring to this cross, other than a severe reduction in height?
  12. Don't we all pull that face when we hit the can/pigeon/rabbit? This video is a reminder as to why we shoot catapults.
  13. Rascal and myself are off to the middle of nowhere to follow the hounds on Saturday and we shall be shooting out of the car on the way there. I shall probably be calling Rascal a god if he hits one of the geese we pass. If he misses one, I'll call him a rude word that rhymes with hunt.
  14. what if you both have same normal bands on... We shoot like proper slingshot heroes with normal bands, but with my bands we shoot like gods!
  15. Yes his recall was perfect healed like a lab and came every where with me, I have had 3 lurchers including him still got 1 and one died out lamping, I have terriers and also train labs for field trails so I am a dog man not just a man with a dog, How comes he didn't have any recall when he ran all the way home? I think it's a training issue mate. With all due respect, I think you need to look at yourself and not the dog.
  16. I believe this is a popular cross with heroin users.
  17. Hexnuts are excellent at hunting ranges. There's a bit of a curve in their flight when they get out past 30 yards, but until then they fly straight. The blunt force trauma of them is superb and a less than exact shot can still result in a kill. I use M10's without any additional weight. M.8's are good out of lighter bands and are loads cheaper than M10's.
  18. Liar lol Ok, my hair is a bit gay.
  19. It does take some pulling! If I try and hold it on aim for more than a second then it starts to shake. I'm gonna try it on that camo Black Widow I just bought.
  20. I'm like Hulk Hogan. Without the gay hair and moustache.
  21. This the one that dried for a few years. I cut down an apple tree when I first moved into my house about 12 years ago and put this is the boiler cupboard. 7 years later I found it and cut and shaped it. It's been my favourite ever since.
  22. Just tied on with elastic bands . I wrap the bands with surgical micro pore tape or fabric plaster to protect them.
  23. Made this today. Red deer antler, black Theratube and a kangaroo leather pouch. It shoots well, I missed a bunny by an inch with an M10 hexnut on the commute home.
