what do you consider to be the qualities of a "good bloke" to me its honesty , loyalty , hard working, trust worthy................................................................... To others it seems that taking drugs, been able to drink a copious amount of alcohol and stand afterwards, abandon your missus and son and marry another woman, act violently and smash every door in your flat, thats after she took him back, then leave again , not see , your son for 6 months , then hang your self from a tree for some poor fella walking his dog to discover !, all the above earns you the title of top

Wanted Shropshire Shooting Permission Wanted Payed Or Free
armdog replied to Benallen's topic in Pigeon Shooting
im taking the p**s mate , wrong place to ask for permission , everyone on here has worked hard to get there perms, you need to go knocking on doors , putting adverts in auction marts and feed retailers, try small holders allotments or private gardens , stables maybe, but dont come on a hunting forum and ask , when youve been on here a while youll realise how often new members come on here and ask for perm ! its just annoying , good luck and happy hunting -

when i was a lad we lived on a farm and often got invaded, we used to use glass bottles , with a bit of chocolate stuck in the neck as far as you could get your finger then a bit more smeared around the neck, we would then prop the bottle at a 45 degree angle , usually against the skirting board, would get mice every time and the little uns didnt get away, nb i have watched baby mice sit on mouse traps and feed without setting them off, once used a bottle that had a dreg of taboo in , had a very merry mouse out of that 1

was supposed to be meeting up with a few lads and going to one of there perms but life got in the way ! rather than waste the day me and my 12 year old son morgan went to one of my small perms that ive only lamped before, it comprises small well grazed fields with warrens running under walls , my young ferrets have been a disapointment to date and have only bolted 2 rabbits on 3 outings and they have never worked deep and have messed around in the nets, today the penny dropped, first warren the old border terrier marked solid, i netted up , entered a ferret and she rocketed straight to ground

ive always worked terriers and ferrets together, never had an accident either, always as neil said got them so use to each other , ive never experienced terriers grabbing ferrets and my old border bitch is the steadiest and most consistent marker ive ever had, terriers have advantages , ie ferreting thick cover, they can get in and hold rabbits in nets till you can get in, ive never had a dog for a job, ive always expected my dogs , lurchers or terriers to do what i need of them !
