  1. If you can get some Laupa ammo try those. My 455 lives them but they Re difficult to get hold of in my area. I can get my rifle to group 1 1/2 at 75 yards with Winchester. With the Laupa under an inch or round on round.
  2. 3 jabs for mine was £60. im getting a hob of my mate(this years litter) and getting him vaced. £40 to have him done so save money in the long run.
  3. You also need to consider what your land owner will allow. The land may be cleared for different calibers but your landowner may not want too many people using one caliber. Mine is 22lr open and air open, i asked the landowner if i could use a 17hmr before i put in for a variation and he said no.
  4. Had mine done and took 2 weeks to go down. ive now got the problem that the are trying to mother one and other and pulling each aover about. someone mentioned putting them in with a vaced hob.
  5. My 3 Jill's keep on pulling one and other by the neck/head/ and dragging each other down their pipes ect. It looks to be quite painfull but there's no blood shed. Any ideas please?
  6. your previous post states that youve got your interview this saturday, you dont know what you will be granted yet? if you get both 17 and 22 your doing well!!
  7. check the clamp that holds the barrel to the air chamber. I had one and this came loose once and had the same problem.
  8. Same here mate, was out last night as well and saw 4 foxes. ( that's a lot for my area). Only had 3 rabbits just not the numbers about at the minute and the bright moon with clear skies didn't help.
  9. Need to be careful about shooting hares, on my permission they are classed as ground game and cannot be shot till end if June. But if your guy lets you go at them then great keep going!!! They make great BBQ meat, don't tell your guests what they are eating till they've ate it!!! Watch their faces.
  10. I read somewhere once that a guy was making finders for falconry and they worked for ferrets but no links available. There's something on YouTube using a small pocket radio!!
  11. Try putting your clenched fist into the cage/hutch. I had one that was biting after do this for a while she soon learned that biting got no reaction. Had a few teeth marks on my hand but it cured the problem. Also try hand feeding that may help. What ever you do don't give up !!! They are bright little creatures and learn very quick. Atb. Ian.
  12. Get yourself a 300bar 3ltr cylinder you will get a good few fills from that. I get 7/8 for my R10 FAC at 220 bar so you will get a few more for your s400. Your local dive centre would fill it up but just make sure their compressor fills 300bar cylinders. Some don't!!!
  13. I've hit them before with a rimmy in the head and still had the odd one that sits there on the ground still breathing!!! Them and magpies are rock hard!!!!
  14. Nice looking gun fella, what's te barrel and silencer spec?
  15. I had one for my old HW80. They are awesome!!!! Just remember if you are buying direct from the states you will have to pay the duty when it arrives in this country. It's about a other £20 on top.
  16. The air will not run out it will just equalise with the pressure in your gun.
  17. Great footage lads. Going to have a go myself for some rats this year. Got a new permission and been asked to have a go at them. How do you find shooting them without nv? Cheers, Ian.
  18. 15mm threaded bar drilled into the blockwbork then set with resin. Once that's set it will never Come out. If you get the right resin it has working loads and with the 15mm bar you would be looking at almost 2 tonne per bolt/bar!!!
  19. 640, that's some going. You must have a very healthy population ? I've just got a new permission that's not been touched for a few years so should be in for a few this year. ATB
  20. Been out today on my own and had 6 but had to dig to four of them. One had a nest of young so I think I'm going to call it for this season. After Easter it's air gun and rimmy time for me.
  21. Feed mine the odd woodie, and all that's left is a pile of feathers!! Can't even find the feet.
  22. Well I've started to make one, I've got a hawke flip up scope cover that fits perfect over the eye piece on your scope.
  23. Has anyone used one of these? You can buy them in this country but they originate from the states I think. Just wandering if they were any good.
  24. As above, your thread is out of centre.
