  1. This tippler cock is the laziest fecking thing I've ever seen, he does a lap then he's on a roof which messes up the birds still flying so on Saturday I chucked him out at the top of the road to A see if he.made it back and B get him some exercise and he found his way home ok. Yesterday about 5 I took him a mile or so out on the moss near ours and dumped him, he flew in the right direction so I thought he'd beat me home but the fecker just turned up now . At least he's had some exercise anyway. I might try him an extra mile and chuck him out at work if he doesn't perk up after his day trip. I
  2. Cracking pics of a beautiful creature, shame we don't have them round here.
  3. Natives and canaries should be fine without it.
  4. Do you mean for insulating a shed or stopping the wind coming through aviary netting?
  5. My oldest lurcher wouldn't get out of his bed if someone entered the property but the russel and the spaniel cross thing go mental if anyone comes near.
  6. I've already read that cracking thread mate, its in the photography section (feck knows why) but its more about the birds themselves than detailed pics of the kit boxes. I've looked on google images but its better to be able to pick the brains of the person who owns/built it if you know what I mean. Cheers, gnipper
  7. Let's see your kit boxes so I can get a few pointers. Cheers

  10. Bob wires or a drop trap is what you want mate. I've just knocked up a drop trap with a 45 degree bend of 4" pipe that works well, one of my rollers had worked out how to get back through the bobs.
  11. I'd leave the pair on eggs in one half and chuck everything else in the other half, the more birds in the cage the more they compete over the food. If they don't dive in the feeder while your next to it ignoring you then take it away and try them the next day. Have you got traps on the cages for them to get back in?
  12. Shit happens mate, I lost 2 of my first 4 rollers because they weren't hungry, settled or properly used to my call but everything else I've got now pile through the trap at the sound of the can rattling. If they don't attack the bowl like a fat bird on a cake their overfed.
  13. It can be. I wouldn't buy adult birds this time of year either unless its off someone you know and/or can trust or you could be buying someone else's shite which wouldn't breed for them so they move them on.
  14. You don't need a big fancy set up to breed mules, a double breeder and a bird of each gender and your off. If your after breeding from several pairs then you'll need more double breeders or a block of cages.
  15. I've only known of a few and one of them worked over someone it had known for years that came through the gate. I'd make sure you definitely want/need such a big and potentially dangerous animal when something smaller could do the job.
  16. It'll be a big 'pit type' that's been brought up bad by scumbags. Can't have been a nice way for the poor bloke to go.
  17. Keep em hungry and get some bob wires or a drop trap on the pen for them to get back in. Their stomach is the key to training them
  18. Patch em up, get some info off them and then finish them off Sutcliffe style.
  19. If you feed the Jill on meat they will start on it when she drags it to the nest and their ready.
  20. In the last round he threw 2 white tailed mules and one has a white mark on the back of its head but there's one in this round looks interesting Hopefully it turns out special and doesn't darken to be normal.
  21. The fife hen was still a crap mum and let them die the bitch, I've managed to let my linnet cock out too who shot off like an arrow and never looked back. If I got as much shagging as him I'd be knocking on the door to get back in. Luckily he filled 2 more nests before he left.
  22. Make sure any you let out are hungry and they know your call = food. If it doesn't know a call it will probably keep flying.
