Thanks for sharing your adventures. It’s genuinely interesting to me to read about your old guns and powders and how they perform. We have very different ways of doing things , I see you as a purist. Bit of an update from glorious Gloucestershire. The last batch of birds went in on Friday morning, so that’s the four pens full of birds . The first batch have got through that wet spell of weather and seem none the worse for their wet backs . The second batch have settled in well so far and seem very even and well feathered, as good a birds as I’ve had . I’ve opened the first pen up and they are getting out and about and I’m feeding them outside the pen a bit now . Not had any problems with Charlie yet , but I’m sure he will find them soon enough. I’ve been doing my rounds early

I was wondering where Dave ( I’ve never had a girlfriend or a proper job ) Taylor found the inspiration for his unusual hairstyle, 1980s new romantic “flock of seagulls “ , what a dick .? Still , he put his anti field sports views to one side when he met HRH princess Anne , fox hunting and Pheasant and Partridge and grouse shooting participant. I’ve had S and B scopes on all my centerfires for years now . And I haven’t regretted it . The light gathering quality is superb on my 8x56 Hungarian . However it sort of matters less now as I tend to swap rifles to night vision as soon as I struggle to see . My Leica bins are more or less redundant as I get the thermal out as well . -

Doesn’t surprise me , the whole establishment is corrupt. It’s nothing but a nest of vipers , with a trail of children’s misery on their hands. But the system is so corrupt that the public will never know the true scale of what happened. I suggest anyone who is interested in this , subscribe to Shaun Atwood on YouTube. I don’t know how long he will be able to keep broadcasting because he is doing a lot of digging. He is now on Brandnewtube , so that he can give more details that YouTube won’t allow.

We’ve all been there , had birds that I call “ sexy Psychos “. Sex is amazing, they do things that would make a porn star blush . But living with them and putting up with the moods and drama is too much for your normal bloke . But some blokes put up with it . I’ve had the first batch last week , I was going to be having the second load Monday, but we’ve put them off till Friday because of this rain . The first lot are good . But I’m keeping my eye on them , this wet and warm can be a breeding ground for illness . So far so good , but I’m touching wood . If I can get them past this wet and into some dry weather next week without medication, I think I will be out of the woods as I will lift the wire then .

That’s just it Wilf . I know he had it hard as a kid , but Christ who didn’t ? The ginger kid with glasses, the kid from a really poor family? The kids who have uncle Ernie humping them when he babysits . Kids have to get on with it or curl up and be a victim for the rest of their lives, the fact that my brother in law didn’t do that and has prospered and his family has flourished, told me all was well with him . But I find it a bit of a bitter pill , that all this time he has obviously harboured a grudge and there is a disconnect there , and now I feel a bit bewildered .

My brother in law is a half cast guy , sorry mixed race . His nick name when we were all growing up was Sammy , short for Sambo . His mum had him off a West Indian chap who wasn’t around when he grew up , and his brothers were were white and he had a white step dad . He got Bullied a bit at school and started to stutter . So then he started to get called S-S-Sammy , kids are cruel. So his step dad took him and his brothers to the boxing gym . And Sammy learnt to fight . He stopped his stammer and got respect. He grew up and turned to professional boxing and worked as a builder and doorman . He
