I think trump will have a landslide victory. The mainstream media is totally biased. Anyone with an ounce of intelligence can see the BS they are peddling. I was in the States earlier in the year. Nearly every American I got chatting to was interested to hear my thoughts on Trump . When I told them I thought he was a better choice than Hilary they nearly all said , “we voted for Trump , but we don’t tell anybody that “ . The polls don’t question the average low earning American, and people who do vote Trump are kind of embarrassed to admit it . Also he is the guy wh

I’ve had to concede defeat. Despite my best combing and styling ( think Trump , but not quite) my scalp was clearly visible . So now I sit on a chair in the back garden , with a sheet wrapped around me , while my daughter hacks away with the dog grooming clippers , it’s a pathetic, sad sight of a defeated man .? -
Apart from the numerous bad experiences people have with hunting, let’s not forget that it’s a British tradition. The likes of Cherie Blair and Lacs want us all to conform to their ideals , it’s the principle as well for me . You might not ride with the hunt , or believe it’s an effective method of pest control. But it’s tradition and the the beating heart of some rural communities.

I wouldn’t bother painting your decoys, I’ve found greylag will come to Canada decoys no problem. I can still remember the buzz when the white fronts used to turn up on the Severn. Hearing them through the mist in the morning . I think it’s called goose fever .?? Good luck Phil

Trump would have my vote if I was living in America. What is the alternative.... Biden ? A man who sniffs children’s hair , and can’t remember what day it is . The man is clearly struggling with some sort of dementia. Why the hell the democrats thought he would be a good candidate is beyond me . They have all but handed Trump a second term . In the U.K. we need to hope Trump does get in because the democrats hate Brexit Britain.

I think I’ve been around the houses with this . I talked to a mate who reloads and he was going on about how important it was to know where your lands were and how critical it was to be a certain distance from the lands . I know Steve Bowers (rifle maker) and had a chat to him and he said come over to the workshop and I will do some measurements and you will have some bullets to use as a guide . The bullets stick out a mile and don’t work in the magazine. I am happy with the bullets I’ve been producing with the C.O.A.L to be honest, so I’m just going to stick to that . I am not a -
To be honest how long is a piece of string ? The rut takes place usually in October . The books will tell you 7 - 10 days , but it’s really hard to tell with wild fallow ( not park animals) . You can tell when it’s on as the bucks will separate the youngsters from the mothers , and break up the doe herds . You will know it’s over when they get back together. Also you will see your bucks back together. However the buck meat can still have that testosterone “twang” into December I’ve noticed. I’ve finished my buck culling now , and won’t take any till about 10th December if the game

Nice write up FD . I don’t mind a full moon , my digisight works well without the IR with a full moon . You can bring some difficult foxes down if you tuck yourself away and sit it out . -

That bullet is an empty bullet for me to use as a gauge. It’s seated just off the lands . It doesn’t look right to me either . This all started when I was talking to a mate who reloads and he asked me how far back from the lands did I seat my bullets . I didn’t know and said I just go by the C.O.A.L in my book . There is a school of thought that the optimum accuracy is obtained when the bullet is seated 10-20 thou back . This is also stated on lots of YouTube vids on bullet seating . I’ve got a feeling that it’s probably the case with target shooting applications, but pro -
The hunts have had to take a good look at themselves. They didn’t/don’t do themselves any favours in the eyes of a lot of the public. Even some country people have little time for them . There is still a bit of an elitist element particularly with some of the famous hunts . But there are also some very working class packs doing a proper pest control job . What the animal right brigade didn’t realise is that mounted fox hunting has very little to do with killing foxes and a lot to do with Exciting horse riding . Foxes were positively encouraged to live in hunting areas . Whe

To be honest I’ve been getting acceptable results with the C.O.A.L . Thanks for the help , I’m taking it all in . I will collect as much information as I can and then filter it with my special information filter . And find a middle ground where I’m happy.? -

Like I said , so many different opinions. -
To be fair I didn’t give a monkeys about the hunting. But it’s the thin end of the wedge . Once they got hunting banned they weren’t going to hang up their balaclavas, no , it was shooting next . The countryside got together, Lurcher lads , Ferrett fanciers , pheasant shoots , we all stood together to face the common enemy . Fat lot of good it did though. Having said that the hunts are still taking the heat off the shooting .??? Long may they continue ?

It’s the same with the game fairs . They are massive events in the countryside that are patronised by thousands of people. But there is hardly a mention in the media. Do you ever see it on countryfile ? I felt exactly the same about the march . I came back buzzing . I switched on the news to watch how it had been reported and was , like you astonished at the lack of coverage. If it had been black disabled lesbians marching...... a different story,

I’ve been getting reasonable results using the C.O.A.L . I might bring the bullets out so they are just clear of the mag and see how they perform . -

I think I’m going to have to try that . I’ve actually had a few issues with the 50 grn vmax , like rings from my die , and now this . Going to have a look at the bullets you say . I can’t believe that the manufacturer hasn’t taken this into account. -

They are risk averse . If a bullet is touching the lands the pressure is massively increased to a dangerous level . -

So many different opinions. For a knuckle head like me who just wants to load good consistent ammo it can be daunting. ? -
I am on a reloading journey of discovery. My latest quest was to find the optimum seating length for my chosen bullets in my .243 and .223 reloads . I took my rifles and some neck sized cartridges and boxes of new bullets to Steve Bowers to do the measurement from the lands . He did the measurements and gave me two dummy bullets which I can use as a maximum length. He said that the most accurate distance is 10 -15 thousands of an inch back from the lands . He also said just check that they will fit in the magazine. I did and the .243 is fine but the .223 50 grain vmax sticks out too far . I kn

Having a bit of a sort out the other day and found this little radio. 22 years ago myself and half a million others converged on London to let our voices be heard to try and stop the ban on fox hunting. It didn’t work and the BBC and mainstream media hardly covered what was and is the largest demonstration in this country’s history. It was a peaceful event with no looting or bad behaviour. But what did the media show ?A handful of hippies shouting at us . Bloody typical. Anyway this little radio was given to loads of us and was supposed to broadcast a special March radio program b

My daughter used to work for a travel company that specialised in Safaris. She got to go on a few as a perk of the job . She stayed in this one camp that was just tents . With nothing more than the canvas between you and whatever was out there . They were told that under no circumstances were they to leave the tent at night . She said there was a scorpion in her tent and she hates insects and spiders, but outside was a lion roaring and it was so loud the tent seemed to vibrate. She stayed in the tent all night with the scorpion and didn’t sleep a wink . She vowed never to go to Africa again.??
