  1. I’ve always fancied a occularis, I think it would suit my way of shooting ( instinctive ).
  2. Christ Fred ... don’t have a clue mate, I cut my bands at 150-170 and then trim em down to how it “feels”, different size’ for different bands if that makes sence.
  3. Can’t remember the exact cost but I bought from simple shot and was hit with a £16 import tax... I vowed never to buy from them again, but I need another scout lt so I may bite the bullet ?
  4. Yes pal, my bands for the scout are a good 20mm shorter as I don’t need to wrap n tuck ??
  5. You won’t go wrong with the new scout lt , if your shooting pigeons, rabbits and close squirrels then get some gzk green .7 Cut at 25/20 and some 9.5mm steel from “ Balls of steel” Suffolk .. a cheap enough combo that’ll put food on the table.
  6. I’ve shot a lot of stuff with the original scout (Xt) but the new scout lt Is something else. I only bought it in May and I could bore the feck outa people with pics of what I’ve shot with it, once you match your ammo with your bands it’s unbelievable. What ammo you using Neal ?.
  7. I did yes, nice combo ( .66 and the pouch). these days I mainly hunt squirrels and for me I wouldn’t go any lower than .8 band and 11mm steel. They are tough feckers and to consistently kill you need to up the ante. But now and then I don’t perform as accurate as I should do I put on a light set up and gain my form back.
  8. The.66 gzk you sent me is lovely stuff, I shot 7mm and 8mm fine with it ??
  9. My anchor point never changes, if I shoot instinctive it’s just under my eye/top cheek and if I shoot gangsta with a reference point on the fork tip it’s the corner of my mouth, it’s the frame that moves up or down for me.
  10. The scout has served me well over the years
  11. I lost a bit of form recently so decided to use the gzk .66 that short straw sent me. I had a load of 7mm bearings that you get as freebies from balls of steel not doing anything so used them...WOW... the accuracy was unreal, spent a day just shooting bottle tops out to 20 yrd to get my confidence and form back . Yep it worked, cheers shortstraw ??.
  12. Looking good mate, nice shot placement ??
  13. Try 1745 tubes ( single ) for the 9.5mm steel and as c green says use a constrictor
  14. I think the black is anti cold but don’t know about the rest.
  15. Tried the ppmg....not for me I’m afraid but the scout lt is a different matter. I have never shot as well as I am at the moment , im killing daily with mine and with a bit of luck you should do the same ?? I’m after another but as you say the uk have sold out and I’m waiting for pro shot to restock.
  16. There’s a guy nr me who makes these, I’m all for getting one but would a hedgehog feed and sleep in the same place ?.
  17. I think I have to devise something for them to go in and feed, if not I’d be feeding the local cat population ?
  18. Got to admit I have a soft spot for hedgehogs, what you feeding them ?. I know we have at least one that goes in all our gardens and there is a few up allotments. I once found one When I was a kid and carried it home (3miles) just to show mi dad, I put it in the chicken run but the fecker climbed out ! That autumn we had hedgehogs all over , possibly a pregnant female I found.
  19. Funny you should mention hedgehogs .. I came across this one whilst on my morning walk, love to see em ??
  20. Lovely shot Greyman and it’s good to see you feeding the birds ??
  21. Looks alright that mate, let us know how you get on.
  22. You did well finding it, I’ve let all my other cattys go now and only have the scout LT , the thought of loosing that frightens me ? can’t wait for proshot to get some More in . We didn’t try the green bands today but I’ll let you know how we get on.
  23. Bands arrived today mate , cheers. My lad and I Tried em out with 9.5mm and 8mm steel. The 9.5 was a lot better accuracy wise. No noise or slap with em either ??
