As Jim says it’s good days and bad days... I was out one morning last week and hit 4 squirrels, two woodys and something I’d rather not say ? and this morning I missed 3 squirrels, Two woodys and rabbit.
I shoot instinctive and through repetition I know where to aim, I drill a hole in a bean tin then tie a foot of line to it and the other end to a stick and throw it in a tree... perfect for practicing ??
I must admit I nearly gave it to the kids to shoot when I first handled it.. glad I didn’t , I’ve shot 3 Squirrels in the last three outings with it ??
I used to send for the black sheet and cut my own but decided to buy some pre cut but when I tried it i couldn’t get on with it so I won’t use the band which came with the LT.
Never tried the axiom occularis but it does appeal to me, the LT is very pocketable ( that’s why I bought it) . Simpleshot have definitely got it right with this one.
I ordered one from pro shot , it took 5 days to get here but was well worth the wait. When I first banded it up I thought ... naa doesn’t feel right.. how fekin wrong !. I’ve put 0.8mm GZK bands on and shot 11mm steel. Imo it is a cracking little catty and one I’ll be shooting for quite a while.
Left ours to settle for 24 hrs then put 10 under a silkie, she hatched 6 this morning with two still cheeping in eggs and two not developed ... not bad considering the GPO had hold of em for 3 days.
It’s been sat on that ( scaffold board) base for two year up allotment and never budged an inch and we’ve had some proper winds/storms. It’s only held down with eight 2” screws.
