    If a land owner employs someone to get rid of his rabbits they Won’t get paid if they don’t do the job right, at the end of the day it’s no body’s business how many they shot that night ... unless it’s on your land.

    I can understand that dog lads and the ferreting boys moan about the numbers being shot but at the end of the day how do you know it’s not pest control ?.

    If it’s all about pest control rather than have a leisurely walk out then they are a invaluable piece of kit, a thermal will get you straight up onto your rabbit. I have the pulsar axion xm30s and it’s unreal night or day.

    I’m privileged Fred it’s all Smithies land and stuffed with rabbits . Where we were netting is full of holes , escape routes and we do well considering. Not sure what size twine it is Smithie gave it to me to make that net.

    Kept the same, they did produce a lot of eggs. The wife used them in salads. I killed a couple and they tasted superb , one of the best meat I’ve eaten. I found if you can get them to a week old they do very well but like all game birds their only mission I life is to commit suicide.

    Should have been a lot more but the amount of rabbits that stopped short of the net was daft .

    Well I finally got around to putting the running line on the hand made 22 yrd net today, I made this short net for a specific place Which we call the horseshoe field ( it’s a gateway and broken down wall ) all I need to do is splice and Hank up properly and we’re good to go, you will like this net Smithie ??. Also a pic of the other nights netting catch ??

    Cheers mate, decided to “tug” train him from the start, I was born in that eara where you should never pull any thing from a dog mouth because It’ll never retrieve, load of bollocks this pup picks anything up and follows you around trying to give you it to play tug.

    He was 18” tts when I measured him last week and 10.5kg.
