What I’ve found is..... most makes of .6 to .7 will shoot 9.5-10mm steel with enough power and accuracy to hunt with. If you are moving up to 11mm steel and 10mm lead then you need to use .8 flats or double 1745 tubes.
Just lost two farms Jim due to them downsizing and spent the weekend looking for a bit of permo.... not a fecking chance round by me (leeds) , one lad has wrapped up 11 farm in the area.
Had a nice walk out with the pup before the rain hit us, I havnt been out that much What with work ect , it was good to see him mark as they dropped. 1745 and 10mm lead.
I’ve just got a good deal on some 11mm steel so I’ll be going back to those ASAP .. imo nothing hits like lead but I’m flat out with different things atm and steel is the easiest option for now.
