  1. Totally over the envy now after going to the permission, The raider is now good but the S10 is still superior Son 2 - Dad 0 And a little paper practice aswell 5 Shots 30yards outside kneeling supported with .22 H&N FTT (washed and lubed, Got to say im now converted to washing and lubing) less than a 5p! ... the top left one was erm.. the wind it erm... gusted and elevated the pellet ............ Just shows all you 'oldies' that us youths know better cant believe i ever doubted myself! :boogy: :boogy: :boogy: :boogy: :boogy: :boogy: :boogy:
  2. Is the trigger adjustable? it could be too sensative causing premature discharge, if not it sounds like a worn or broken seer in the mechanism and it also sounds like whatever holds the pellets in the mag has gone, does it use an 'O' ring? it may need replacing Does it fire if you cock it with the saftey off, and then apply the saftey (as if your walking somewhere) and then take it off again to shoot, will it fire then? Then only thing i can think of is there is two stages to cocking your gun, the first stage rotates the mag and the second cock the rifle (fills it with air to fire) d
  3. as soon as mine arrives ill do some paper punching at take pics ATB Adam
  4. Hah never! Ive spent WAY too much money on that to ever swap it or sell it ....And besides... I need that to win the THL darts .. again The daystate has been locked away its going to be my target shooting rifle, its hunting days are over, the 22 S10 smacks things much better ATB Adam
  5. Tony Wall at sandwell field sports is the Guru of tuning spring rifles, you may have a little wait for the work to be completed as he has a huge workload thanks to Si, but it is well well worth the weight. As for the stock, you can buy a stock repair kit such as a birchwood casey one from a good gunshop or from the internet, ebay has a load . Its very straight forward to do, simple sanding then oiling etc, ive just finished doing my S10 stock and i really enjoyed doing it, does take a fair bit of time though ATB Adam
  6. The scope is only a tool, its how good a shooter you are that will determine how far you can hit things I would opt for a Hawke Sport HD 4-12x50mm, around the £50 mark and i personally find the Hawke scopes are better than the Nikko ones for airgunning http://compare.ebay.co.uk/like/310392684821?var=lv&ltyp=AllFixedPriceItemTypes&var=sbar&cbt=y ATB Adam Edit: also with the Hawke scopes comes the added bonus of being able to use the Hake Chairgun Pro software, which with the right inputs can aide you in shooting
  7. Go for the age old saying 'spend your pounds on the scope and your pennies on the rifle' get yourself a good scope and then figure ouit what you have left for the rifle, Dont bother buying a 1300quid gun and putting 50quid optics on it you wont get the best out of it. I would suggest a HW100 or AAS410/510 or R10mk2 and a good scope you wont go far wrong with that As a daystate owner i would say avoid unless you get a second hand one... too expensive and they perform no better than the above mentioned ATB Adam
  8. Very nice rifle mate, i dont do springers but im tempted to get one of these bad boys i think they are the mutts nuts! ATB Adam
  9. Great write up tony and some fine shooting! ATB Adam
  10. I have turned into the green eyed monster... Over a rifle i used to own and sold because it was rubbish! Anyway bit of background... Just got up to my folks house as we are visiting for the weekend, i always pack a rifle as one of my industrial permissions isnt far and i always go shoot the pigeons, my dad like to join me with the Raider .. never gets anything but likes to come along. A cupple years back the old man wanted a rifle to keep the pigeons off his solar pannels, so i sold him (at a family rate) my Webley Raider 10xs ... it was rubbish to be fair, never kept its zero and
  11. Congrats, always good to get out after a long absence! Good Shooting ATB Adam

  15. True, both spams and us are now moving away from the conventional field types of camo, its all going multi terrain cam mainly because we now fight most our wars in urban environments and its cheaper to have one multi use set rather than 10 specific ones. Although you are 100% right you dont need the expensive leaf camo to get the job done ATB Adam
  16. The military are like 15years behind the curve.. so in another 15 years we will move from splodges on MTP to leaves The military runs on a few basic rules, 'Buy cheap and buy lots' and 'Like it and lump it' ATB Adam

  19. I know the pain buster Took me ages to get round to finishing my stock, I think Marksman had finished 2 rifle refurbs by the time i had done my 1 stock! Because i had such little time i was rushing and it could of turned out alot better, its ok and will do for what i want it for ..... but to be 100% happy with it you need to take your time Good luck mate hope it turns out well ATB Adam
  20. You might need to be a little more in depth with your question mate So what do you want it for? what are your needs? Both rifles will perform very well depending on what you want it for. Do you need the multi shot or single shot? are you going to get a 10shot conversion for the 200? are you looking at .177 or .22? target shooting or Pesting? whats your budget? Help us to help you ATB Adam
  21. I have the 2.5-10x44 varmint, nice little scope works well and gives a nice clear picture Good scopes ATB Adam
  22. Had to google it just to find out what it was! From the reviews it seems to be a Turkish version of an SMK but with no benifits, better off saving your money and getting a more reputable rifle ATB Adam
