  3. sorry i got my question the wrong way round there, I meant how did you tell the action was a mk3 in a mk 2 stock not the other way around (my bad) i know the differences between the stocks ATB Adam

  6. Sounds like you have the same problem my farther did with the webley raider - your barrel is not correctly aligned, the way it was described to me was trying to blow with half your mouth shut, needs twisting back into correct alignment so the ports are all fully open, this will increase the power and solve the problem probably worth while getting it serviced too Any decent gunsmith should be able to sort it out ATB Adam
  7. They did, you have to use all of the movement on the bolt to load and cock the rifle on a mark three, just pull back on a mark two! hum thats strange as i have a mark two and i need to pull back and down or it wont fire and mine is a Mk2 same as the picture above i was under the impression it was the Mk3 that didnt need to be actioned fully - maybe they all need to be actioned fully Anyway if you have a mk3 stock i would just take it as a mk3 (nothing wrong with a mk2 at all btw) ATB Adam
  8. I wouldnt be worried anyway i dont think they really changed the internals between the MkIII and the MkII, the stock is the main difference. If its got a MkIII stock its probably a MkIII ATB Adam
  9. The serial number is only on the bolt plate if its a bull barrel - because the barrel is shrouded and cant be stamped ATB Adam
  10. Im not 100% sure on this, but on the action if you can cock it and fire it by pulling the bolt back but not down then its a Mk3 , on mark 2 you need to pull it back and down or it locks the trigger like i say im not 100% sure on this it may just be a rumor i had heard - mine is a MK2 and you must cock it back and down before you can fire it ATB Adam
  11. Quick way is If it has checking on the stock around the foregrip aswel as the pistol grip its a Mk3 If it only has it on the pistol grip its an earlier model ATB Adam

  19. Each barrel is like a finger print, unique, and each likes/dislikes certain pellets One barrel may love 4.52 JSB and the same make of barrel on the same type of rifle may hate them but love 4.53 The difference in size will effect how the rifling reacts on the pellet traveling down the barrel, having an effect on the accuracy at the target end. Its a hard one, without firing the pellets and looking at the results you cant really say which is 'best' You can buy pellet tester packs which contain a variety of brands and sizes (arround 30 of each) and you can test them and see how t
