  1. There's a line of lurchers close to me that's been going for 30+ years that's very very greyhoundy 3/4 grey 1/4 whatever, [ whippet, collie, beddy, bull, saluki] to 3/4 cross and every now and again a full greyhound thrown in for good measure, there very fast and boy do they look the part but they've got a lot more bad points than good, bad feet, poor stamina, thin skin, turn like the QE2, lack of nose, shit recall, and just run about flat out in a straight line, this line badly needs a very well bred hard and fast at them saluki lurcher or a well bred half cross of whatever type they fancy, but
  2. He looks a strong un, is he still quick enough.
  3. Nice pics, really like the bottom one was he any good?
  4. The dogs produced in 80's and 90's were far superior to the sh*te he peddles now, there hasn't been a sire or dam worked in 30yrs, I've kept every cross from 1st cross,2nd and 5/8 grey 3/8 collie, the 5/8 was superb at everything, my lads had 2 off him in 3 yrs, couldn't take a knock and simply not good enough, both dead now, I like more than one breed crossed into a lurcher, them 3/4 are f*cked after a few decent runs, easy to blow out no matter how fit you get them, buy off decent working lurchers, WM Maybe your lad was just unlucky, if they were all like that he wouldn't still be selling pup

  7. If I was to get a bull cross it would be 3/4 grey 1/4 bull, but it's not a cross you see advertised a lot.
  8. . ............ Some dogs don't last 5 seasons their heart wants it more than their body will allow and dogs like that with serious/keen Dogmen behind them don't always last and then you wish you,d have bred from them earlier !! thats not a good trait for a dog to have.is it.? My lad lost his mutt a couple of years ago, that dog had more heart, soul, brains and commitment than most, the fecking steel rod sticking out of the ground curtailed that mutts ambition,id own another with the same traits. i've had the same when a deerhound x jumped a fallen tree and got kebabed on a branch,2 mi

  12. Hi shaddy, is she a half cross? No mate she's 3/4 grey 1/4 bull but quite a heavy set type, not got a bully head but quite a bully body not the prettiest bitch by all means but she knows her job, far from the hardest dog Iv had but I like her work style and I think adding something into her could produce some decent stuff There's some boys on here who might be able to sort you out
