    i know you probably don't need telling this but don't let him go to someone you don't know or not recommended by someone you know not seen there names on this post yet but same ppl on here are always interested in free hounds (and terriers)fck knows what they want them for but doubt its hunting thats good advice terrier410, but you wont see them posting on here but i bet his inbox will be full with messages from peddlers saying that they hunt with this one and that one and that someone can vouch for him another peddler probly, this is a great site full of decent people that want to help

    there you go thats a fine lurcher lads, i had a 3/4 bred dog about 20 years ago i would swap all the lurchers in the yard for one like him again.

    she doing well so far apart from rabbiting does anybody know how stop them tongueing on rabbits or is she to old to stop hello artful nice bitch, i dont know if you could stop her barking on rabbit or not but you might get to know what she is hunting by her tone we have a bitch here that will tounge on a hare but we can tell when she is on a fox or a hare she will only tounge now and again on a hare but she will tounge flat out on a fox. happy hunting atb cd

    Hi Bossie they will follow a line on a good scent but we can call them off with the horn if we want, they hunt with the full bred hounds on the hill aswell but can get left behind on a very long hunt they are at there best in small tight cover, they are not afraid to get stuck in when the opportunity arises, as far as boar is concerned we can only dream about them. atb cd

    hello tinytiger we have two of them here they hunt with our other dogs a border-beagle x cocker and a irishterrier x beagle, the dog in the first pic is 20 ins and a bitch about 18 or so i thought they would have been bigger with the foxhound in them, the dog has a good deep voice the bitch is a yapper like a terrier. atb cd

    hello mattyd i cant remember what pack the first pic is, it might be the coniston or the ullswater the second pic is the lunesdale fox hounds.

    here are a few old photos i found they were taken a few years before the ban, the good old days. they were great days out with lovely people and great countryside .

    They should make handy dogs for cover i like the crossbreds myself the spaniel x terrier would be a good mix, what kind of hound do you have is it a harrier or fox hound?

    The bitch was out of a 3/4 patterdale 1/4 bebbie x border lakey good leggy bitch and a good busher mated to a fell hound dog, they have a good voice and are pretty good on open ground we ran them with full bred huonds last year to get them started, we had a great laught one day at the end of last year we were hunting a forestry and the first two out on the hunt were the two pups in full cry after the fox the fella that owned the fell hounds had some stick to listen too. lol atb cd

    These are two fell hound x terrier cross dogs just starting there second season there are good in the tight stuff and hunting well on there own they suite the type of hunting we do we are happy enought with them so far.

    will do Bobo i like the crossbreds they suit the type of hunting we do we hunt small bits of cover 10 or 15 minutes hunting then back in the trailer and move on to the next bit, she will be joining these guys.

    i went on holiday three weeks ago for a fewdays and came back to this sitting at the back door, my son got this to replace or old wgp x harrier that we had to pts, she has a very big pair of boots to fill. she is springer, harrier x welsh hound she was a bit timmed at the start but has come on well, around 16 weeks now.

    This is my nephew aged 7 he loves to come out with us for a walk with the dogs.
