    Looking in the gundogs and retievers section i see a lot of people have a good word on the lab x pointer as a all round hunting dog, i wouldn't mind trying a lab x wirehaired pointer x cross greyhound or saluki i think they would be a handy cross.

    we were lamping foxes one night about 20 years ago we used to take an old man out with us who knew the lay of the land i had bought a lurcher about a month before hand and it was our first night lamping with him and we seen a fox away out on the beam he wasn't coming to the call so we decided to walk out to him we were walking up on this fox when the old man asked what is he like with sheep? i replied he hasn't missed one yet . i can still see him yet on his hands and knees luaughing might i add we never got that fox

    Hello jigsaw, he is a wirehaired pointer cross i don't know the exact breeding but the guy i got him of said he was pointer x saluki grey bull, he is still learning the game but i am very pleased with him so far he is the most biddable dog i have ever had a dream to work with and not afraid to get stuck in when needs be.     I was walking home tonight from the pub seen three guys down an alleyway laying into a guy i watched for a minute or so and though f--k it, i ran down and got stuck in.................between the four of us we gave him a good beating.

    Thanks mate, we have a good mixture of hill and arable ground and the farmers are glad to see us out coming up to lambing time, long may it last.

    He's going through a bad patch at the minute it takes a lot to put the wee man down, kev hunted the hounds for him yesterday he tagged along as best he could kev said the form wasn't great with him but think they had a good day all in all.
