Best Pic Of One Of Your Lurcher
coverdogs replied to the big chief's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
Has that got a bit of wirehaired pointer in it coverdogs? Looks a bit like it with the markings could be wrong though. Yes Blackdog92 he is gwp x saluki bull grey.Curious as to how you would rate him on fox etc.He just finished his first season and done very well single handed, i never rate a dog fully on his first year but on a scale of 1 to 10 i would give him a 7 on gameness, and on hunting up, marking , and drive an 8 which is pretty good for a first season as i would say i only had 2 lurchers that i would rate as 10 after 3 or 4 seasons. What cross were you running prior to this dog ma -

I am not trying to offend anyone here but just because someone cant read or write or has dyslexia dose not mean that they are stupid. it's a true saying that brains and common sense don't run hand in hand.

I cant praise this cross enough, i have been keeping lurchers for 35 years and though i had seen it all i have had them all collie cross, wheatens, bull and a mixture of them all, i got the idea of the pointer cross a few years ago when we had a couple of wgp x harriers they put many a lurcher to shame. i got a wgp x cross about a year and a half ago he is a pleasure to work with the most biddable dog i have ever owned and one of the best hunting dogs i have seen, i always though there was nothing to tough the collie cross as an all rounder but the pointer cross at 2 year old would make -
