Im not disappointed at all I enjoyed the evening as I said in the post conditions were far from perfect but I am use to seeing a little more activity on there which is a little worrying ...it could be just down to all the farming activity going on there at the moment. After a nice long relaxing summer it was finally time to dust the rapid of. I took the gun to work with me today to check the setup and everything was just how I left it months ago " Cock on "....I decided to go for a mooch this evening to see what the pest situation was however conditions weren't favourable there was a bright half moon and absolutely no wind what so ever and to make matters worse the feilds have just had there first plough and with having no rain of recent it was like walking on a feild of half bricks being quiet and unseen was going to be a challenge. Its catch 22 you need to learn your land but at the same time not spend to much time there.... things should become more obvious once the cover and leafs have died back .if it hasn't been said already wind is your enemy and your freind as wind carrys smell and noise so use it to your advantage taking your smell and noise away from your quarry not to your quarry....pigeon are fickle some days they will be a plenty some days nothing but all need to roost so look for those tree's they like....look for there droppings on and around the trees you will need to be in a good hiding place at least a h

I was out the other night with the rapid it was windy as hell and not much about infact I only seen 2 rabbits in the couple of hours I was out but just before I decided to call it a night I was gifted with a opportunity ...a nice big buck rabbit perfect for the pot happily munching away at around the 40yrd mark I ..I took the shot standing and managed to hit the switch spot on ....light out nkt even a twitch luckily I had pressed record on the cam somthing I dont often do ....heres the video....http://m.youtube.com/watch?feature=em-upload_owner&v=wUZ7jCER-HI&desktop_uri=%2Fwatch%3F

I don't know about the r10 but you normaly have to discharge the air left in the rifle to close the bottle valve on other rifle models its normally something like 3 turns of you bottle then a few dry fires until empty .... im sure one of the r10 boys will be along soon to put you right you should be able to download a pdf operating manual for the gun from bsa if you don't have one atb kanny

there not saying that pigeons cant be shot period but under the general licence you have to have reason to do so ie crop protection or fouling animal feeders ect so its arguable that there's no reason to shoot a pigeon in the average garden. atb kanny
