    Im widening the net on this now and will consider any pcp of equal value as you can see the bike really is as new it still even has the stickers on the disks . Im happy to keep the bike but feel its wasted on me. Thanks for looking More ..... ....     Extra ir is generally used on both units and as mentioned by vm the scope cap trick with a 25mm hole makes a vast improvement to the image quality of the old photon ..there really is nothing much in it when it comes to image quality neither are fantastic but to name some plus point's of the photon there lighter there cheeper they sit on the gun like a normal day scope in standard mounts and easy to use the only plus point I can think about the pulsar is errrrrm its robust!     No I just have my own opinion I have neither a photon or a n550 but have used both so im just giving a unbiased veiw the photon with a few minor tweeks is on parr with the n550 both have there bad points but throw in the hefty price tag of the pulsar and its a no brainer . Atb Kanny

    im just testing the water with this i have a immaculate cannodale sl 2 this bike has done no more than 20 miles and is in shop condition I i got the bike with all intensions of using it but I got ill shortly after and have never got back into it I payed just short of a grand for it. The bike is the large 19in I believe. i would be looking for a swaps with anything rapid I already have a mk2 I would like another so I have a day and night set up ... here's the spec of the bike.     Check out http://theoben-rapid.co.uk/ a great bunch of guys who's knowledge of theoben rifles is second to none and will help anyway they can ...mfr, s are fantastic if its been looked after and not abused but even a bad one can be sorted without to much trouble thats the beauty with the rapids... I've got a mk2 and I love it to date it hasn't let me down once. Atb Kanny

    Im not disappointed at all I enjoyed the evening as I said in the post conditions were far from perfect but I am use to seeing a little more activity on there which is a little worrying ...it could be just down to all the farming activity going on there at the moment.     After a nice long relaxing summer it was finally time to dust the rapid of. I took the gun to work with me today to check the setup and everything was just how I left it months ago " Cock on "....I decided to go for a mooch this evening to see what the pest situation was however conditions weren't favourable there was a bright half moon and absolutely no wind what so ever and to make matters worse the feilds have just had there first plough and with having no rain of recent it was like walking on a feild of half bricks being quiet and unseen was going to be a challenge.     Its catch 22 you need to learn your land but at the same time not spend to much time there.... things should become more obvious once the cover and leafs have died back .if it hasn't been said already wind is your enemy and your freind as wind carrys smell and noise so use it to your advantage taking your smell and noise away from your quarry not to your quarry....pigeon are fickle some days they will be a plenty some days nothing but all need to roost so look for those tree's they like....look for there droppings on and around the trees you will need to be in a good hiding place at least a h
