    Never been a big drinker as such its not good for me ...when I do drink like on a session I don't really enjoy it but just go with the flow of the night.... Buzz wise I'd rather have a toke than a drink.

    Same experience here...i was in A&E and it was full of eastern Europeans and French speaking Blacks I too was in hospital yesterday for a scan. The doctor requested it on 25th february. So we are to believe the NHS is underfunded and understaffed. I expected to find full waiting rooms and flustered staff trying really hard to help get through the work load,it was a 9 week wait afterall. I arrived 30 minutes early and got sent straight in. I seemed to be the only patient in the building. My invitation was sent 1st class post on the tuesday after easter,no expence spared. Seems you were

    I didn't go for the works place pension but pay into a ISA instead ...the interest return isn't great at the moment but should the worse happen I can get my money and if it doesn't I will have a decent lump to help me in retirement .. it's a more appealing option for me .

    I wasn't referring to the monthly repayments so much as the idea of it. X amount of years studying, massive debt hanging over you, long hours at work plus extra studying on top etc, all to earn a piss poor wage.I agree as I've said I think to much is asked of junior doctors hour wise and in a perfect world it would be nice if ALL students had a free education but the fact is they don't ...why should junior doctors have special concession over a studying anthropologist or marine biologist for example .. bottom line is life isn't easy on the first run of the ladder for anyone why should junior

    Student loan repayments ......You only start repaying your loan once you've graduated and you're earning more than £21,000 a year. After that, you'll pay back 9% of anything you earn over £21,000. So if you're earning £26,000 a year, you'll lose £450 in loan repayments - £37.50 each month.

    I think people in General are disillusioned at just how wet behind the ears first year student doctor's are there pretty much only fit for taking blood pressure 'temperature and if there uber confident giving injections under supervision. ..with me having a fairly rare condition its like having special case study stamped on my head so I've had plenty of experience with them and helped a couple out by agreeing to be a case study.

    The £23.600 is there first year salary it goes up substantially year after year with experience and potential for them to earn crazy money if they get to the top of there profession unlike a receptionist or KFC worker who will be pretty much on the same wage for life so I don't see the comparison..there's big money waiting for doctors once they have learnt there trade and proven there abilities... No other trade takes on a green back and pays them top dollar so why should doctors be any different.

    They will get there dollar once they have learnt there trade. You can only learn so much from books the real skills are developed doing the actual job you are studying.

    Same experience here...i was in A&E and it was full of eastern Europeans and French speaking BlacksWere they the medical staff though?We are recruiting abroad for nurses again.No they were the patients....the only NHS worker I saw who was foreign was a porter (dead ringer for Sadam Hussain)The doctor and nurse a was seen by were both locals This is the downside to the free system.. Its a shite magnet and without a doubt a deciding factor why many immigrants choose the UK as there destination.

    I was in hospital yesterday for a scan there was 7 of us Waiting 5 were non nationals... Maybe if we fukt a good few back home there wouldn't be so much stress on the system.

    That doesn't surprise me lol ...now call me cynical or tin hat or whatever but I think there's a much darker side to all this and the junior doctor are no more than pawns in the Marxist movement game. Of coarse I want our doctors to be well looked after but just feel there's a bigger picture at play
