As in a pair of antlers and a bit of string? Or small a piece of hollow antler with notches and another bit of antler to rub across the notches. -
Got a webly not being used somewhere, not nearby, whats the deal with posting a starter pistol?

Little project end of last week to save the bosses skin. He placed a successful bid on an insurance job to repair a damaged dyke. When it came to it the decorative concrete bricks were no longer in production. Client insisted on exact match for the 4 broken ones or replacement of the lot 50 or so. To dig him out of a hole i said i would have a go making some. Traced a block and drew it out on plywood then cut KIngspan insulation on the bandsaw to the shape and glued to the plywood. Ply box to size. Filled with a fine chip concrete mix and slipped the foam shapes out afte- 346 replies

Is There A Springer With A Multi Shot Mag?
GruffaloGriff posted a topic in General Airgun Discussion
Anyone ever come across a decent springer with a multi shot mag? Not something i have seen. Obviously wouldn't be as fast at re-loading as a PCP as the spring would still need to be actuated but would it not be an advantage over fumbling to re-load a conventional single shot with cold fingers? Can't see why the motion of cocking the spring couldn't be extended to rotate and re-load the next pellet in a mag. -
Storage Of Pellets When Out In The Field?

Pocket for me too. Advantage being you can collect all the surplus ones out of the washing machine filter once a month. -
No made in two halves then glued together, grooves cut on band-saw with table at a tilt and as the table only tilts one way, a angled fillet of wood to get the opposite angle. The lad did all the grooves himself, must have took him half a day to do them all.

Thanks again lads. Made these with the boys a couple of years back, thought they may be of interest. They did most of the work with close supervision and a bit of help from dad. Designs came from a book "Tremendous Toy Trucks" They pestered me for a while to help them make one. I fobbed them off with if you go and draw out the plans i will give you a hand, thinking that would be the last of that. Two days later came back to me with all the templates scaled up and hand drawn

Are they registering the air rifles as section 1 firearms? Or registering the owners as air rifle owners? The fore mentioned would mean you can't buy an air rifle from Scotland. Not without a FAC. Don't mean to sound thick. But it's not something I have been following. All seems a bit vague to me considering it's projected to to come in April '16. Moxy Q&A From BASC link 14. Do I need to get a licence for each of my air rifles – I have 3? The intention is that one licence will cover any number of air rifles and air pistols. I assme this if sub 12 & FAC all lumpe
-
Thanks Moxy. Did a bit more research and that confirms what you say. Useful info from BASC here http://basc.org.uk/basc-scotland/airguns-in-scotland/airgun-licensing-in-scotland-frequently-asked-questions/ As you say treecreeper there will be no incentive to stay sub 12ftlbs You reckon rest of UK will be next on the cards?
-
Shouldn't be a problem getting one I have "legitimate" reason (land and pests) and no history, just the hassle/cost factor. If it was a lesser cost for sub12 air rifles or a once off register it would be one thing. But if no difference then might as well. I could sell my mint sub 12ftlbs AAS410 and upgrade to something nicer in FAC for the same money. Still keep my HW springer or could upgrade it too with a nitro spring.
-
Had sub 12ftlbs airguns for the last 35 years, often thought about getting a FAC air rifle but to be honest didn't want the hassle of applying every 5yrs/ cost etc. Now looks like i will have to apply anyway as I live in Scotland. I assume it will be the same cost etc as a current FAC so might i just as well go for a FAC now?

Thanks socks. The pipe actually goes right through the collar and is sealed into the flue liner so the galvanized register plate is only to leave it tidy looking but to be doubly sure the gap you see is also sealed up with fire rope so no draft. . -

Thanks again for the feedback, hope i didn't bore you with too much detail. Job now complete, couple of pics with stove fitted and first fire, works a treat and much more efficient/ controllable than the old open fire.- 346 replies

That shape reminds me of my first decent hunting knife. Bit of a story to this one. My best friend was fishing in a canoe with his dad 35 years ago in Maine USA as a youngster, they had forgot their knife and need one to clean the fish they had caught. Jessie looked over the side and said "there is a knife dad" it was laid on the river bed in about 4 feet of water. He later swapped it for my in-superior one as mine had a sheaf and his didn't, my dad made me the sheaf and i proudly wore it on my belt wherever i went. Changed days, no one batted an eye then at a 8 year old with a knife on h
