OCD i guess, i can never have them pointing every which way, even in hinges all the slots have to be the same way, thankfully hardly ever use slottted any more, posi's can be any way and it doesn't bother me. -

Here's my tool box for my smaller joinery tools, handy for toting about. I made it years back but thought it might be of interest. It fits in a large chest that has my bigger hand tool in it. All made with recycled oak. -
My daughter made these table mats with flowers she pressed in the rig we made last year. Stuck on card and laminated.

Not entirely sure. I was asking over on Brittishblades forum and someone said navy as well. It is rely well made not a lock knife but may as well be as it opens with a good snap and takes a fair bit of pressure to get it to fold again. Similar in appearance to those army issue ones with the black plastic scales but a bit bigger and a lot more robust. If anyone else knows any history on it i would love to know. -

Went to empty my workshop bins at the local amenities site and ended up doing a very successful spot of dumpster diving this evening. Don't know what was getting cleared out but i filled 3 25ltr bins (that i had just emptied) with old tools and a couple of other lads were doing the same. Loads of stuff to clean up and use or adapt into other tools........everything on the table......even a sword amongst that lot! My lad already claimed this little gem........and spent the evening cleaning it up. Didn't even get a chase to take a before pic.....needless to say it didn't look anything l -

Handy tip for anyone that uses a belt sander. An old tube of set silicone cleans them up really well. Do them frequently to stop them getting beyond recovery. Just sand the tube, plastic and all. Takes them up sharp & like new. -
Cheers JOK.
-
Aye none too clever. Up and about today pottering with some wood, can't get the boots on, sandles the only thing so had to make some custom toe protection........
-
By popular demand from JOK.....hears a book end i made from scrap sheet metal. The fish is cut from an old side panel from a washing machine and the heavier gauge backing is from an industrial freezer unit.

Don't want to hog the limelight, good to give the other lads a chance to post up their creations. Been some good post lads keep it up. Life has kept me flat out recently with no time to play.....will get some stuff posted once i find that allusive time. Dropped a 1 tonne multi woodwork machine on my toes last week, no toe tectors on either so that has kind of spoiled things for a while. Keep the projects coming lads!

My lad made up this mahogany oil stone box recently. Hinged at the one side & a piece of leather glued to the top for a honing strop. Pics are with the flash so not the best but give overall idea.
