It was two young lads about my age, early 20's, never seen them before. Canny dogs though shame no one was keeping an eye on them Must admit after the run ins i've had over the last couple of months it did put me off walking the dogs a bit, turned something enjoyable into a chore and i was constantly on edge. Aye that's it neems, 'fair weather' walkers thing round my way is the amount of professionals who own dogs that never get walked, maybe a couple of times a week at best. So when they're out they let them off the lead, unsocialised and full of it and they wreak havoc. I've offered a bit of dog walking, even just to stretch their legs and get some fresh air but no one likes parting with a couple of quid a week, gotta feel sorry for them poor hounds

Aye it is a nice beach stevie i usually go to Steetley and it's exactly the same mate, dickheads galore. Me and the dogs like to mind our own business and if there's other dogs i send these two into the deeper water to avoid confrontation, only yesterday i was down there and two collies set about the pup because she wouldn't give them her rubber toy thing, all the while the owners were clambering over the wooden struts next to the pier with no clue where their dogs were or what they were up to...soon put a stop to it with my size 10 wellie and they fecked off...owners none the wiser. Thing with jobs i've found they're mostly this 'zero hour contract' thing, so one week you might get 40 hours the next you'll get nowt. Some work is better than none of course but that's no good for long term. More and more are offering it though, and self employed sales positions so in other words peddling Sky tv or double glazing in shopping centres. Commission based. That isn't a proper job IMO. You just gotta do what you can to get by

A GRANDMOTHER and grandson watched in horror as their pet dog was mauled to death while they were out walking in Seaton Carew. The woman was walking near the Blue Lagoon, in Hartlepool, with her nine-year-old grandson and two dogs, an 11-year-old terrier and border collie. The dogs were set on by a greyhound or lurcher that then ran off at around 5.10pm on Saturday, May 25. Had a couple of knocks over the last couple of weeks from knobbers trying it on, first one was a guy in tracksuit bottoms the lot with a rucksack asking to speak to the home owner...i said "aye but what do you want?" "oh i'm just looking to see if the home owner wants to buy some stuff" at that point next doors dog started to bark and he went "oh is that a dog? I've got dog toys, chews, bowls, all sorts..." Well over there we had buzzards all over, actually really nice to watch shame they make a meal of the poults, some kind of owl, goshawks, crows/ravens and other small birds of prey. The poults that were dead were only nipped on the back of the neck and had no other injuries ie decapitation like a fox might do, so what else would you lads reckon would knack that many poults like that? Obviously it was a guess by the headkeeper but ya bugger when them two goshawks came over the next night "i f***ing told ya so!!"

Yep!!!! Good luck with that one Lab when i was away a pair killed 150+ poults in one night, absolutely smashed 'em...the b*****ds soon flew away though.......... I thought Buzzards were more scavengers than active hunters? Suppose if they're hungry, just never seen one on the hunt before 150 in one night....................you sure that was a Gos? No doubt, all with a little nip on the back of their neck......headkeeper goes a f***ing goshawks done this, low and behold when we sat out the next night what comes over the top?
