Aye now you mention it I'm sure I remember reading something about temps determining sex in sea turtles so could well be the same with tortoises. Birds aren't really my thing but I'd assume not because if it was the case the chicken industry wouldn't hatch so many waste males. I know it's the case with a lot of amphibians and geckos but that's as far as my knowledge on the subject goes I'm afraid

Spot on pal. Is one of the many reasons I much prefer a good chain spot to a kennel/run set up, I feel like the freedom to move about and see what's going on around the rest of the yard etc is great for the dogs mentally as well as physically.

Being serious for a minute I've no doubt gender dysphoria is a real mental illness and I'm sure it's shit for those suffering with it. It's the "treatment" that is f***ing bonkers and actually does more harm than good when you look at things like suicide rates etc. We don't just cut the limbs off folk with body dysmorphia do we, we treat the underlying mental illness.
