  1. Yep the problem is the explosion in the population of these dogs caused by the mental money they were fetching. These dogs need a certain type of owner and home but the average owner now seems to be someone who jumped on the latest fashion after frenchies got a bit boring who doesn't bother training it and just turns it out in their postage stamp of a back yard for exercise
  2. Honestly watching that video I kept waiting for someone to fecking grab the thing and get it under control, it wasn't even going that hard really someone who knew what they were doing could have easily got it under control.
  3. Said for a long time one of the biggest problems with dogs in this country is the fact people haven't got the heart to cull wronguns and unwanted pups anymore. A bullet in the head is much kinder than shoving a dog onto the merry-go-round of rehoming.
  4. Yep folk jumped on breeding them when they saw the money they were fetching and now the bottom has fallen out of the market and there's 1000s of them getting passed round from inappropriate home to inappropriate home. Sad state of affairs all round really. Honestly I don't know the answer but we've tried bans before and I'd say there's probably more pit bulls in the country now than there ever was before the ban.
  5. Thoughts? Honestly something needs to be done but we all know how ineffective breed bans are and I wonder what other breeds/types will end up getting caught up in any ban that covers them.
  6. Have you spoken to her about getting another dog pal? My ma reckons she'll take in an elderly rescue when her Bullseye passes, doesn't want to get a puppy and worry about leaving it behind. Might be something to think about if she starts feeling the house is too quiet without a dog about the place
  7. Gutted for you and your mother pal. My old Ma has a wee staffy x just turned 14 and really showing his age now, I know she's going to be heartbroken when he passes. Always says how safe she feels with him curled up at the end of her bed.
  8. Do we know if his dog ever got his bark back??
  9. This actually happened though
  10. So it's definitely Huw then
  11. There's nothing about the sex of the victim in that article? As far as I know it hasn't been released by anyone? Kid is now denying anything inappropriate happened...

    On farm kill

So you agree it's ridiculous for hunters to get their knickers in a twist over an animal having it's throat slit, glad we're on the same page

I just care about humane slaughter pal don't know what you're talking about

    On farm kill

Yep, in fact 95% of halal slaughtered meat in the UK is actually pre-stunned. Kosher on the other hand is never stunned so maybe all the animal rights activists on here should switch their focus

    On farm kill

To be clear I couldn't give a feck about halal/kosher (funny how only one is ever mentioned ) slaughter or how folk humanely dispatch quarry in the field, I just find it hilarious seeing a bunch of hunters getting their knickers in a twist over animals having their throat slit Try argue with any normal bod on the street that a dog chasing and pulling a deer and slitting it's throat to finish it off is more humane than halal/kosher slaughter, see how far you get

    On farm kill

Of course it does, would be a bit hypocritical to think it's barbaric when done in a slaughthouse but fine when done elsewhere wouldn't it!

    On farm kill

It's barbaric, only a backward desert dwelling camel jockey would think it's acceptable to slit an animals throat without stunning it first
  18. That's anti-Welsh bigotry you monster!

    On farm kill

Disgusting. Anyone who would kill any animal without stunning it first should be locked up. Sick in the head IMO
  20. Spot on pal, supplements aren't even required in captivity if you feed a decent varied diet and have the correct lighting etc.
  21. Seen them used for bulldogs instead of treadmills, think they started in the sled dog world. Impressive bits of kit to be fair but like treadmills can do more harm than good if you don't know what you're doing.
  22. There has definitely been the odd confirmed report of successful Red Eared Slider clutches in some spots in England and this was a good decade ago so I'd imagine it's only happening more often with the long warm summers we've been having. They will bury their eggs in decomposing vegetation which keeps the temps up so you don't actually need solid 25+ degree weather to have a successful clutch. You will only get males hatching unless incubation temps are up around 31 degrees though so I can't imagine the population is very sustainable long term

    Dogs

Real shame that they're cracking wee dogs. Will never understand folk who spend good money a pet dog only to leave it shut out in a run with no interaction Would be kinder to PTS
